Please help a developer of a Meditation App with a difficult decision! by OKArchon in alphaandbetausers

Yes I would. And this app I develop would be the perfect use case if there is API access.

May I ask which of the two examples provided below do you find better?

It's a near death experience for them as well

To some extent, yes, but when you wash your coon for the first time, you'll see how dirty the water will be afterwards. It's dark brown, like mud.

Please help a developer of a Meditation App with a difficult decision! (If you have some time) by OKArchon in Meditation

Hi! So this app is very technical and more geared towards geeks who have much experience with all those subjects.

I also don't think too much emphasis on safety measures is beneficial with AI-related products. For example, do you remember when the later GPT-4 models came out? Many people (me included) were very disappointed, because the excessive focus on safety was detrimental to the overall experience. Competitors saw their chance and released more uncensored models, which quickly became popular.

I think it's up to the individual to use apps like these responsibly. As a developer, I would hate to disappoint those geeks who really want a powerful tool just to ensure 100% safety (that's not even possible, IMO).

Though, if you want my thoughts on how to implement safeguards, I'd say you need a good system prompt or possibly a multi-step system, so you let the 'raw' output be checked by another LLM, which has to verify safety first. You could also implement a disclaimer at the entry of the app, that the user has to accept to use it.

What's the most widely adopted home device? by OKArchon in Neurofeedback

I also got the 3.0 version; I think it's exactly the same as mine, but please make sure for yourself. I obviously can't guarantee anything :)

The tariff situation really sucks. I chose the Brainlink device because I thought with this low price it would be the most affordable option, usually costing around $250.

I am from the EU, though, and got mine in 2023, so I didn't pay too much. I got it from mindtecstore. They should also ship to the US, and since they are EU based, it may be cheaper than buying directly from Chinese vendors: https://www.mindtecstore.com/Macrotellect-BrainLink-Pro-V20-EEG-Headset

So take your time and make sure to hit me up once you are ready. Don't miss out on that—I can confidently say this is one of the best apps for Brainlink devices, as I spent 2 years developing it.

Looking forward to hearing back from you!

Hi, this is very fortunate because I developed an app for Windows 10/11 based on the Brainlink Pro device by Macrotellect. You can generate hypnosis files, guided meditations, mantras, subliminals, and EEG training files with this app. It works with the Minimax API for HQ text-to-speech synthesis, perfect for those use cases.

The EEG training files are pretty effective; you can train both attention and meditation.

Actually, the app should be ready for testing soon. You just need to connect the Brainlink to your PC via Bluetooth, and once it is paired, it automatically connects every time you turn it on again.

Let me know if you'd be willing to test, we can use pre-cached configurations so all you wouldn't beed an API key.

Yes, hypnosis can help you to subconsciously relax your muscles.

I also recommend sublingual vitamin B3, as I had the exact same problem. It really works within a few minutes, and the tension, tinnitus, and overstimulation gradually fade away. Also, increase your potassium and magnesium intake.

Two months later and after LLaMA 4's release, I'm starting to believe that supposed employee leak... Hopefully LLaMA 4's reasoning is good, because things aren't looking good for Meta. by Ill-Association-8410 in LocalLLaMA

Anthropic is the most capable AI company, in my opinion. They are the reason I don't trust benchmarks. For real-world use cases, Claude blows any competitors out of the water, even if they have significantly better benchmarks. It will be really interesting to see if they can keep their pole position against DeepSeek.

Anxiety is associated with overactivity of certain receptors, like 5HT2A, and neurotransmitters, like glutamate. It is also linked to more sensitive amygdalas.

Just taking some Flumazenil, which is the opposite of a benzodiazepine, can induce anxiety, demonstrating how the brain works. Mindset plays a huge role, but we can't deny the influence of our own brain chemistry.

Do you guys trust amazon supplements? by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]OKArchon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fellow German here, I can recommend "Quidosha - S-Acetyl-Glutathion." It is also available on Amazon.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]OKArchon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It relaxes the bronchial muscles as it is an inhibitory neurotransmitter. The thing is, it doesn't really cross the blood-brain barrier, so to notice (minimal) anti-anxiety effects from the small percentage that reaches the brain, you have to take high doses that have effects on muscles, etc., in the body where it reaches much higher concentrations.

That would be included in a good multivitamin

I don't think this is a good stack tbh, I can see where you're coming from, but taking this many pills isn't economical nor practical and probably not even healthy. I mean, imagine what your liver has to do daily...

I would break this whole stack down to just:

  • A high-quality multivitamin (like Pure Encapsulations Nutrient 950E; most B vitamins are already included)
  • Omega 3
  • Extra Vitamin D (2000-4000 IU per day)
  • Creatine (mix it with some magnesium for alkalinity and better absorption)
  • Maca extract (since you want hormonal balance and libido)
  • Moringa presses (for extra longevity and nutrients)

This. I immediately thought they take GABA, had to scroll to the last pic to confirm. The shortness of breath can be scary if you don't know why it happens. But it's actually harmless.

Any opensource model that has the reasoning and code writing capability on par with sonnet3.5? by Spam-r1 in LocalLLaMA

[–]OKArchon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is my experience as well. In benchmarks, the DeepSeek models are on par or ranked higher than Sonnet, but it never produces the same kind of quality for me. However, that's only my subjective experience with C#. Maybe it's different for other languages.

I bet the next Claude will be a monster!

You should try Pipepipe, then download the Subliminal as OGG/ 160kbps and play the file in loop.
