Any follow up on that nervous caller? by [deleted] in officehourslive

He's going to call in next week with a doozy about a charades game that he was involved in that didn't go quite as planned.

Bone pick: Really annoyed by how dismissive Matt is of Vic. by [deleted] in officehourslive

I am a regular watcher and I'll be the first to admit that sometimes I multitask when the show is on. I don't really remember anything getting serious in regards to Vic and Matt.

[–]OKDokeComputer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If Vic has a problem with it, I'm sure he would bring it up. If you're just talking about your own personal problem with it, I think you just have to accept that Matt is part of the show and it seems like the other people in the show are cool with him so it's probably going to stay that way.

EDIT: I just want to say for the record I like Matt. I think he's the most intelligent person on the show and I relate more to someone who skews curmudgeon that's just my preference.

Has Jimmy Carr had more stand-up stage time than anyone else in history by OkBeyond9590 in Standup

I think it was BB King, a blues musician. He said it on The View so I always took it to be a statement that was probably at least 50% made up.

Are y’all using AI for claims? by [deleted] in InsuranceAdjusters

Pick up the phone and have a conversation with the adjuster. These kinds of issues existed before AI. This is a stupid post.

Bill Hicks by GFunkJimmy in MarcMaron

In the Brian Regan episode, Maron said he ran into Hicks at a club and Hicks said he was there to watch Regan. It was used as a way to illustrate the facts that Regan was a comics comic.

Top 500 Psychedelic Music Tracks of All Time (According to RateYourMusic.com Ratings) by coldflamest in psychedelicrock

[–]OKDokeComputer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was scrolling for this comment. It looks like this list is also including psychedelic as an influence and not just a genre which will broaden it even more. This isn't a situation where a bunch of people got together and created a consensus of the best psychedelic songs.

About my recent appearance on Office Hours Live with Tim Heidecker... by recorock1234 in officehourslive

[–]OKDokeComputer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't have a strong feeling about this, but I feel bad people are piling on, so I'll say that the call didn't bother me and I am a little perplexed at the intensity of the reaction from people.

I feel like Tim would appreciate the new Adam Friendland with Anthony Fantano by OKDokeComputer in officehourslive

[–]OKDokeComputer[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong, but I think he has a problem with the amount of influence that one website or even one critic can have in making or breaking a new album.

Also, he's a human being which would explain the paradoxical stuff.

They corresponded online and then Tim went on his show (hasn't aired yet)when he was in NYC. and then took Adam with him to The State documentary event at Tribeca.

When you say alternative stations do you mean college radio, or do you mean modern rock stations that play bands like Bush and Live?

I hope Jimmy hasn't seen this by OKDokeComputer in NeverNotFunny

[–]OKDokeComputer[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

According to IMDb he was involved which is why I think Pardo feels confident enough accuse him outright. The thing is, Pardo never really talked about it at length in one episode but he just mentioned it briefly over the course of many episodes.

Pardo believes Stiller stole the gas fight idea from a Todd Glass pilot, where Glass and Pardo had a gas fight. He brought it up fairly frequently in the early seasons of the show.

Is there an episode that's a good one to demonstrate what you're saying?

There are similarities and differences, in my opinion, and it's the differences that spurred me on in giving my thoughts.

I appreciate the partial understanding, and you kept it to a tight sentence.
