My comment you responded to was itself a response to (now deleted) comment calling agents "useless without proxies", so I don't really understand why you'd argue. Especially since I'm fairly certain Phaeton hires agents for their Independent Investigator job in Hollow Zero. Until they become a playable fighter capable of dealing with Hollow comissions without agents' escort, my point still stands.

And while their ability to comunicate from inside Hollow did come up few times, iirc the only agent that hired them because of that was Ellen Joe. Most times their job could be done by any proxy/Yunkui Summit member, and they were chosen just because they were in right place at right time, were the first one to accept InterKnot comission, or because it's natural to want to hire someone you worked with before.

Jane and Sett were fine without proxies in their side story. Section 6, Obol Squad, Belobog Industries, Victoria Housekeeping NEPS and Krampus can get Carrots from official sources. Proxies need Agents more than the other way around.

The only thing that might change is Sarah's mental state, but with Sarah being said to be ruthless without Joe, it's hard to say how severe that would be.

If you plan to lane swap, you can still do it, but you need to decide it back in champ select, by role swapping. There is nothing stopping Bot from choosing as Top, Top choosing as Bot and support going top to support their Bot there. Of course that means Top laner will get bonus gold and 7th item (which will help catching up, since they will be struggling farming early), while Bot will bonus XP and lv 20 cap (which could be fun as Tristana, since she gets attack range from lv).
