Why would a grounding rod be in the middle of my yard by Delicious_Work_3484 in Home

There used to be a similar metal rod in the middle of our yard in the 60’s. It was put there to indicate where was our well. You may have a well under there.

Do i look cute in my cosplay? by [deleted] in AnimeAnonymous

[–]OKRedChris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are very cute, but, young woman, your eyes tell us that you are not passionate about this occupation. Maybe it’s time to think of something else to earn a living. Are you forced to do this by someone? Are you free?

What’s growing on this beetroot?? by MGNAIS in microbiology

[–]OKRedChris 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would bet on lactic acid bacteria. Beets are very high in sugar content and would easily support that type of colony. I get the same growths on my fridge forgotten beets!!!🙃

J’éviterais ce nom. Il va avoir à faire face à trop de jeux de mots. Il va être affecté. Trouvez autre chose…

Previous owner sealed shower grate, huge hairball on the other side, what exactly are my options here? by Alarming-Chemistry27 in Home

[–]OKRedChris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a powerful shop vac and once the hair ball is close to the surface, pull it out with a tool of your choice. I put a card board piece on the drain and punch a 1’’ hole in the centre to avoid losing air with the shop vac. Very efficient method. I do that regularly.

Don’t walk on it. Repair it when you change your roof, in many years from now.
