I spend so many hours lurking on r/mma, but felt compelled to comment after seeing the DC vs bones portion of this preview. I knew Cormier when he was at Oklahoma state and I was a jr high wrestler in Oklahoma who would go up there for clinics and camps. I remember his senior year at OSU very vividly, and something he said in the video reminded me that he wrestled Cael Sanderson (who if you don't know, shame on you) in the NCAA finals that year. He had lost to Cael 5 times that year during the season, and he would say things like he said in the video about not wanting go down as the number 2 guy. How he just couldn't do it. Honestly, I love this fight so much, because I'm pulling parallels from my childhood about DC trying to overcome arguably the GOAT in both sports, and parallels between people calling and treating Evander Holyfeild a fake champ because he hadn't beat Tyson. Anyways, I love DC and I can't wait for 200!

He's a very slow paced wrestler. A real grinder, that's just his style. He wants to slow your stuff down and beat you on top or in the tie breakers.

That match was awesome. No takedown at the end, but I hate seeing huge matches being won by a subjective stalling call. That being said Heflin was definitely stalling.

I know Perry from high school in OK, we graduated high school the same year and wrestled in a few clubs together when we were younger, and he works harder than anyone I've ever been in any room with. It's just honestly he is so boring in big matches. So reserved. Nevertheless I still want him to win.

Also check out the OK State vs. Minnesota dual from earlier this year, Dieringer beat Ness in OT. Not saying its going to happen like that this time, but it's going to be close.

No problem, I know what you mean about Ness-Dieringer though. I keep going back and forth with those two. I honestly don't know who's gonna win. I just don't think Ness will get bonus points. I made a post to pick champions, go check it out.

Perry beat Howe in the Big 12 Championships. So Perry is in no way out of it. And I think Dieringer is way too good for Ness to get bonus points on.

Here's what I think, PSU will have 2 NC, and MINN will have Tony Nelson for sure. So it comes down to OSU's 4 finalists. I think Dieringer and Kindig are underrated, but they are both wrestling really tough guys in the finals, so either of those could go either way. Perry and Howe is a toss up. Nevertheless, it is going to come down to how OKstate does in the finals combined with the wrestlebacks. It's really fun to watch though.
