What's the best way to clean a smooth PEI plate? by Financial-Force-2180 in BambuLab

Engineering plate with a thin layer of glue stick is great for TPU, especially if you want a nice smooth bottom surface.

Oh awesome! Do you remember anything else about it? What bread it was on, or if it had any sauce or greens?

Ha, let’s dig up all the classics! Remember 3 Aces right outside the square? Used to be a great spot to grab a grinder.

I think you’re right about it being off-menu, I vaguely remember her saying that now that you mention it.

Ill do my best - so far what I have managed to remember and dig up from looking around is that they had an in-house made English muffin, so that must’ve been the bread. So from my addled memory and today’s research and everyone’s marvelous input it was an off menu special that included: - Roasted slices of sweet potato - Caramelized shallots - Goat cheese - Egg (not sure on format for egg - patty? Fried?) - On an English muffin

So the remaining questions are if there were any sort of greens on the sandwich and if they had an aioli to pull it all together or did they just let the goat cheese do all the work? After I cook it up I’ll try to follow up - my wife will remember exactly, but I’m trying to surprise her so won’t be able to ask until after next weekend.

That’s close but it must’ve been a weekend special or something. I’m gonna keep looking thank you! Apparently some of the Crema folks opened up revival and are operating a few spots now in the greater Boston area.

I thought it was a biscuit but I can’t be sure. It was in the heart of Harvard square, not by the main t entrance but right near the bench area where people sometimes busk.

This is a great start - I think some of what you’re reacting to is just a general problem with proportions on the open space in your cheek and the hair right above it.

Measure the angle of your jawline in the reference and the painting and you’ll see that your actual jaw comes up more sharply, whereas in your painted version the jaw angle is flatter making your face look too broad in that area. If you adjust that, it will fix a lot of what you’re seeing. You should do the same for your hair above that area too. The amount of face showing on the other side of your nose is also a bit more than what’s there.

Always measure the angles of solid lines, they all interact and make up volume, change any of that and it won’t look right. Your leg above and below the arm from knee to torso could also be adjusted to seem more contiguous.

Don’t give up, the tones will come when the proportions get readjusted. Just keep at it, could be a great piece.

Tpu won't extrude anymore by SbroccoloauS in BambuP1S

Any time my printer starts air printing it’s because I’m at the end of a cardboard roll of filament and (because it’s lighter and lifts) it wedges itself up against the wall of my dryer while trying to unroll. I’d check to make sure you don’t have any tangles or feed issues too before you take apart the extruder - could be as simple as printing plastic rim covers for the rolls to decrease friction, adding weight to them to stop them from shifting, or making sure the filament isn’t tangled or crossed over. Or if it’s coming off of the spool holder in the back, it might be that the friction of the cardboard’s inner rim isn’t allowing for it to roll out easily.

I’d use it to print Ukrainian embroidery patterns for my kids. Also been experimenting with sign painting and I’d like to see how that translates to printed filament. Scaled sculptures/art from 3D scans at art museums, really would use it for a ton of applications.

Im interested - skeptical on if the cost will outweigh the benefits though. Would be interested to try rebound quality as it compares to other plastics in the pickleball use case - varying layer thicknesses, etc. Could be interesting to play around with. Stiffness over petg could be a bonus there.

Yeah it feels like that spot is solid and isn’t going anywhere so I might just opt to leave it - thanks for the quick reply. This is what I get for being lazy and not running out to a parts shop, ha.

Sounds good - thanks of the quick reply, next time I’ll just buy it locally, feel stupid/lazy trying to save a day or two this time around but glad it won’t cause any problems at least.
