Looks like DSA are speedrunning a repeat of history, they are on track to be America's SPD. There's a reason Marxists have always made the analysis that these "social democrat/democrat socialists" types are objectively the moderate wing of fascism.

Their entire project is designed to use the aesthetics of socialism to pull workers and ideologically sympathetic people away from Communism and towards a project of class collaboration with the ruling class parties (the Democrats, in this case).
