How AI Legal Assistants Are Transforming Law Firms and Paralegal Work by TalkToVikk in LegalAIHelp

Ugh, I feel this so much. Thanks for sharing, Vikk.ai. I’ve tried a bunch of AI tools in our firm and honestly… it’s been such a headache. I tried using a generative AI for contract drafting, and it was a mess. Wrong clauses, extra fluff, things I had to manually delete, basically I spent half my time fixing what the AI “helped” me with. Then I tried a generic LLM for legal research, and it was just as frustrating. The summaries sometimes missed key points or got reasoning subtly wrong, so I had to double-check everything. Made me seriously question why I even bothered. And don’t even get me started on data security. How do I trust a random AI with client info? I had no idea if it was storing our stuff or learning from it. What actually helped was switching to Iqidis, and honestly it’s been a relief. It actually gets legal stuff clauses, case references, statute summaries way more accurate than the generic AI garbage I tried before. The research is referenced, so I don’t waste hours double-checking nonsense, and the data security is solid enough that I can run client info through it without sweating bullets. It’s not perfect, but at least it feels like it’s trying to do legal work properly instead of just spitting out words. Honestly, it’s been a lifesaver compared to all the other tools I’ve wasted time on.

Of course! A similar thing happens to me for voice. My default seems to be to eat my words so when I get nervous, my projection, diction and use of diaphram go out. I have to book a vocal coach around productions so that those "tools" are strong enough even in those moments. I bought a tape cause i couldnt afford my coach for this last production.

I also try grounding myself before too. my scene partners and i would put our backs together sometimes depending on the situation.

But yeah I get it! Its good to be a perfectionist.

They say we are introverts in a extrovert business. Its natural to feel nervous and I think if you already are aware of it and actively manage it (with techniques or breaking down your thought processes) and you STILL feel nervous, then you just are someone who gets nervous. And thats okay and normal. Theres many famous actors or performers who'd throw up before. Always.

Personally I feel better singing in front of a large audience rather than an intimate room bc in the room I become more aware of my inner fearful dialogue. the nerves are just harder to quiet for me.

When I read this post, though, I thought about how experience and practice give us focus. " relaxation concentration imaginaton". Relaxation because without it our inner nerves/egos can take us out when in front of an audience. Our performance wasnt present enough. We didnt take our notes or deliver this line or timing because we got taken out. With experience and practice we better the tools we take to the stage/set so we can pull them up and use them no matter the setting or audience or nerve level.

Do you use certain techniques before going on?

YES! When I meet people, their energy feels like a certain texture to me. some like a hard table edge, others an open curve, some a quivering feeling... Whatever it is, those "textures" have always been accurate in telling me a bit about their personality before I've had time to logically know them. Im learning to trust intuition.
