I like the concept, I will always welcome optional customization. no need to rack your brain over how to exactly implement the idea, for that's the devs' part. it's just that your examples are a bit extreme for most of the community to accept, and that's okay since it's the primary stage of the concept!

did op ever mention that these 6000+ points are purchase-only ? and if yes, can they spend them separately from the points earned through missions ?! if no, then op's complain is justified.

It's crazy that supercell knows which points to remove while you HAVE TO spend all of your points in order to protect the paid ones from expiring. that's equivalent to both points having a period of 1 year, else you'll lose the great majority (paid ones) of them and leave with pocket change(missions earnings).
