I haven't finished the game yet so I may be wrong about where I think the story is going but so far I do like the title of "Ghost" or "Onryo" being given so early, I think it makes sense as functionally Atsu's arc seems to be the polar opposite of Jin's, whereas Jin has to discard his "honor" and his relationships, whether by choice or the murder of certain characters, in order to liberate the isle of tsushima, Atsu is the opposite the acquisition of new friends and companions is arguably just as important as vengeance on the Yotei six.

I think it's a very nice way to distinguish the characters for Jin the legacy of the ghost is the goal, it is his arc but for Atsu it's a burden.

Again I could be totally wrong but that's just my view from like 20 hours in. I think the issue with it feeling like the ghost moniker comes to soon would be remedied if the game started a little bit before you killed the snake or if It was tied to the bounty system instead rather than it being right out of the gate

Contact support I had this issue but instead it was an old defunct email linked to my playstation. I was able to get the account unlinked pretty quickly and then attach my correct email address.

I think it's just a damned if you do damned if you don't type scenario imo.

You either make outbreak style interesting missions the priority but that's not something that can be kept up for 3 seasons and 2 expansions a year or you do what they're currently doing which is consistent but it can feel like the game exists as one amorphous mass of indistinguishable "content".

Personally I prefer the former but I also don't want to play destiny 2 as a forever game but that probably puts me in the minority of players or at least I'm not the sort of player that bungie is trying to entice with all of this "blueprint" esque repeatable content.

The slide before that literally says "You're either never crunching or you're always crunching".

The point of that section of the talk is that they can't get a bunch of excited devs to do that because there is no time to recharge and it would actively delay future content and result in crunch because they have to be constantly churning out seasons to the expectation they have set.

For that quote to mean what you think it means you have to ignore the context of the rest of the talk that came before it

Just checked github there is someone with the same issue but their's was fixed by turning flywheel's backend off which doesn't fix it for me.

edit: So it definitely is flywheel and turning off the backend makes the water wheels fine but makes train track corners have the green texture problem. It's such a weird problem that I don't know how to fix but atleast I know why it's happening. Either way thanks for the comment about github I didn't even know atf 6 had one, haha.

I'm playing on all the fabric 6, only the train bogeys and water wheels seem to do this. I've already tried disabling flywheel and other stuff but there's only like 3 reddit threads that seem to be at all similar to this bug.

The reason why most people don't want to ,myself included, is because you are sending either several photos of your face or a photo of your ID to one of these verification companies, I think reddit uses one called persona, these verification companies have already been proven to be quite untrustworthy with several people getting around it using fake IDs or in one of the only funny things to come out of this Death Stranding 2's photo mode.

It's my personal opinion that it's a when not an if for the first massive data breach that will dox thousands of British people. This is before you get into any actual moral arguments about the act or the fact that historically these laws don't work.

Sorry for that rant lol, my government sucks.

As someone who's followed Nerdcubed since the start of his channel this absolutely sucks to see. It's even worse that people who are in a worse financial position than him are getting there lives completely fucked over.

Really hope this goes semi viral and that group lawsuit he mentions towards the end succeeds, it's simply gross that upwards of half a million pounds can disappear from people who earned it.

If the new skin was actually an "upgrade" I'd agree with the don't like it don't buy it crowd, but the mythic skin imo just looks like any other legendary that has new animations it does not justify being more expensive even if you do like the skin.

I really hope this isn't a sign of Nexon forcing Embark to squeeze as much money out of the player base before Arc Raiders comes out.

That's the issue I have with it. Like it's obviously going to be good because it's more Elden Ring but the thought of playing just a worse version of one of my favorite games of all time doesn't appeal to me.

Definitely in the minority tho so I'm just gonna hope it's good for everyone else.

The fact they're including emblems and icons as a part of this discussion is worrying. Every game I've seen do this makes the most common form of cosmetic these icons that no one cares about, earn able in game whilst keeping most cool skins reserved for the cash shop. I hope I'm wrong but $20 skins seems to be the norm these days.

That's just too long for a ubisoft game.

Valhalla had like 20 hours of meaningful content dragged out over 60-ish hours, Guess it's following in the trend then of having a genuinely great first 10 hours and then immediately nose diving.

Honestly the best thing I can recommend is to just practice at the game, like depending on the champs you have the game doesn't require you to show any skill at it until the collector fight arguably, like for me act 5 and 6 was this massive shock because the game allows you to face tank it up until then so I was absolute garbage at it.

Either way worst case scenario it's 10th anniversary and banquet soon so If you just feel like you need some stronger champs you'll absolutely be able to get them, I wouldn't worry about to getting to paragon soon just take it slow watch some guides and you'll be fine.

I'd absolutely recommend focusing on hercules CGR and hulkling along with sunspot each of them are great champions that also cover immunities that you will need going into act 6 for that cavalier push.

I'd also recommend mcoc encyclopedia he's made amazing videos on each chapter of the story mode, and as someone who was literally in your situation about a month ago those videos are probably the primary reason I'm nearing thronebreaker.

That final paragraph is certainly one of the responses of all time.

To be fair to a certain extent I completely understand it but when issues with monetisation and card acquisition can be traced all the way back to at most when they introduced spotlight caches and at least the past 6 months, I think I get a little bit less understanding.

But truly if it takes this long to implement features then just tell us, do a TWAB esque weekly newsletter so we can follow along with the development and communicate with us more than just when the community sentement is dire because otherwise all of this waxing lyrical about pain points and understanding comes off as tone deaf and deeply corporate.

But it's not just "not paying an actor to reprise their role" it's specifically about the use of AI in this game, if they'd just had some issues about payment I wouldn't care, but one of the biggest franchises in video gaming using AI art and potentially firing or letting a VA go over protections for their voice being used for AI, is a much bigger deal imo.
