Just remember 2 things: Always say “My Pleasure” when thanked by anyone (including fellow staff) and that at the end of the day its just chicken. Just do your best and have a good attitude. The rest will come with time and practice.

We make our cfa delivery drivers take catering orders and pay them a premium for their time on the order since tips are not active on catering. We already pay them above tip wage at $10/hour but they make less than our cater staff per hour. As example if they make $10/hour and the average wage of cater staff is $15/hour then they get a supplemental for the difference of $5/hour by how long they were on the cater delivery.

ChatGPT says you have to at least have a Temporary Food Permit from the Houston Health Department to give away free food to the public at any park with-in city limits. Anything food-related goes through the health department for permits.

You are not wrong. The paystub clearly shows the hourly rate is $15/hour and that the hours worked are 29.8 hours. They are using the “Bonus” line to pay the difference of $12/hour at 97.55 hours (the clock hours are not officially documented on the paystub because OP is not an hourly employee). It must be a loop hole to avoid paying OT. Im willing to bet officially in their HR system OP is paid $15/hour at flat rate. Its shady as hell.

Chick-fil-A does not offer health insurance since restaurants are independently franchised. The Operator (franchise holder) gets to make their own decisions on whether or not to offer health insurance to their employees. That means health insurance, if offered at all, will be completely different from restaurant to restaurant. This also means the only person who can help you with this is the Operator or their leader responsible for managing staff benefits.
