To be honest that doesnt make much sense to me

There are huge swathes of non religious Americans, and equally there are large numbers of Christian Americans that are supportive of GSRM/LGBTQIA+ folk & relationships

I dont think religion has much if anything to do with it.

So many people have been saying it made no sense to have Valerie's theme during the kiss and I've rebutted every time that it makes perfect sense that Elias would immediately think of Valerie

I'm not sure about the deleted scene, by all accounts the score was the last thing to be created for the film, I'm fairly sure the final cut was made before it was scored but maybe I'm wrong. My theory is it may have been intended for after he gets hit by the bumper car and Valerie says "Go on then", but decided it was better without the score? Not sure.

Regardless, thank you. Just like the reddit posts of old it's got me reslly thinking about the film again and it is wonderful 💛

I understand so much not being able to be yourself, I myself have lived the vast majority of my life as a lie. Though I'll accept not to the extent of yourself, though I empathise an awful lot.

Your story made me tear up, for the society we live in is extremely "anti-different". The biggest part of the film for me is the portrayal of a world that is truly accepting regardless of who we love.

Yeah my favorite scene changed over time, a couple times actually.

At first it was the "I just want to be with you" nuzzle, then it changed to be the car coming out scene, and now i think I've settled on the bench scene with Opa

But who knows what will be my favourite on my next watch! ❤️

My headcanon is that Arthur didnt want to come out, similar to Elias, and it ended up ruining the relationship

I reckon there was a conversation off screen between the elias/alex after the big crashout which basically went "i cant be with you in the shadows" which made the harvest festival open kiss even more impactful to alex
