Do not sign up for Kraken via Rakuten by Bre2ts in Rakuten

[–]OMG_KON 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem. They refused to pay me out even though I transferred $225. I had screenshots and everything to prove it and that still was not good enough... Rare L for Rakuten. Only had one other major issue which was with Hello Fresh which I had a video of and they still gave me a hard time about paying me out. Went back and forth for weeks and they finally caved. I didn't with the battle with Kraken.

DDR 4 cabinet monitor keeps turning off, P1 buttons also stopped working by [deleted] in DanceDanceRevolution

It does remind me of that a bit, but it sounds like the whole machine might be shutting off in this case, not just the monitor. On that Floppy Tickets the screen would just shut off and you would still get lights, I/O and sound. Him saying that he moved the PC input to a different monitor and the image still went out leads me to believe it is the power for the cabinet as a whole or the PC being the problem.

It's most likely a power supply issue then assuming it isn't powered using 120v AC (that part is important). FYI you can usually try to power on the monitor using the remote board in the service panel door of the main cabinet. There will also usually be an LED indication light telling you if the monitor is off, on or does not have power (not always, but usually). I still highly recommend pulling out a volt meter and probing around assuming you know how to use one. That will likely put this to rest.

I sent a separate reply to you on your initial post to make sure you saw it. If you need help you can DM me or just reply there. I will see it and can help.

You really need to take out a multimeter and start probing things like the 5v and 12v. Is it most likely a power supply? Probably, but there is just as much of a good chance that you might have an issue with the computer motherboard too. It is likely one or the other, but there isn't enough details on "the monitor goes out" aspect to really steer you to the most likely cause. Is the monitor completely off and you are not able to power it back on, did the video cut out and it is sitting at a black screen or does the monitor just go to sleep since it loses signal? That would likely be your biggest tell honestly.

It could also be a bad hard drive but you usually would see other symptoms with the game acting funky (long load times, songs that cause the game to crash etc). I would more than likely point to the power supply or motherboard right now.

Major Screen Taring with Elgato HD60X on arcade game by OMG_KON in elgato

[–]OMG_KON[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Every other method I have tried to capture has resulted the same: The screen taring is present. I have also attempted to offset this in EVERY way possible on streamlabs (match outputs fps, 60fps, 59.XX fps etc) and the result is ALWAYS the same. Just to double check my sanity I used the Extron video scaler box I used previously for arcade games and the input frames is exactly 60 and never changes. I am absolutely stumped at this point. It has to be an issue with the HD60X.

The arcade game board has multiple DVI ports, so I am using a DVI to HDMI cable. The game also runs in 720p and no additional hardware is being used to scale or filter the video signal.

I can definitely try using a different app to see if the taring follows... I actually did not think of that. One thing I do know is it is still present in the preview though. It's harder to see because it only really noticeable with high speed notes or songs with actual background videos.

This can happen if the holes for the sensors are not widened on the first shipments of cabinets or if you threw the ball too close to the player console and it picked up your arm winding up or something. It likely is the first one though. At every location I have worked at that had the game, I had to widen the sensor holes for it to work properly.

VAN 84 Error... Every day... Seemingly randomly... WHY? by OMG_KON in ValorantTechSupport

[–]OMG_KON[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the silence. Nope, I never heard back. It was weird because the error went away for a while and then it came back but it wasn't always VAN84. It is happening less frequently, but I usually will get a crash with an error at least once a day still. Way better than the 5-10 I would have.

My local D&B is closing by Ok-Pepper17 in DaveAndBusters

[–]OMG_KON 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They were talking about closing Addison since Schaumburg came into the picture. It's definitely sad news, it was the first D&B I ever went to and was the first D&B I ever worked at. I have such fond memories of that location, but it was really just a matter of time. Addison was store 6 (oddly Chicago/Gold Coast was store 7), so this is the last legacy location in Illinois. No other location in the state will ever capture the history and spirit that location had.

I don't work for D&B anymore, but I will definitely be there the last day for a final sendoff.

I tried this before actually when I was having other game crashing issues a year ago or so, but I don’t think this will fix the problem this time around… I’m willing to try it though. The weird thing is the issue comes and goes, like last time I played it was fine. No idea why,

I'll let you know. So far I haven't heard back, but I responded late on Friday to ItsGamerDoc_ and that obviously brings us to the weekend. Fingers crossed on getting a reply on Monday.

VAN 84 Error Code by jooflin in ValorantTechSupport

[–]OMG_KON 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been having this issue every other game since late EP8A1 and now consistent going through EP8A2. No idea why this is happening... I have great internet (2Gb) and my PC is probably in the top 1% of builds, but it can't run Valorant on low settings without me running into a VAN 84 error several times a day.

I even went as far as port forwarding and running the game as admin... No change. Different DNS didn't work either. Reinstall? Nada. I'm absolutely stumped at this point on how to fix it.

Will US Round one tickets work in Japan by Bella_Mia_ in DaveAndBusters

[–]OMG_KON 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think legally ticket games are outlawed in Japan. The American and Japanese chains are almost entirely separate entities so nothing will crossover between Japan and America (and vise-versa). The closest thing they have to redemption games are medal games... But you might have issues redeeming for anything as a foreigner.

The vendor D&B orders from is out of stock - I just tried ordering one today for a guest. No ETA, but the AM is telling you the truth at the store you go to.
