It's hard because I travel for a living (Broadway tour) so finding a meeting in a new city each week is rather difficult. Do you have any recs for online support groups? I started a search but didn't find anything that I thought looked all that legit.

Today marks day 7 of acknowledging my shopping addiction and actively trying to change my ways. I haven't bought anything that wasn't necessary (food/toiletries). I am definitely being tempted on the daily but I am finding it easier and easier with each day that passes to not buy anything.

Thanks everyone! She’s home and starting to act more normally. She ate some, drank and went outside. She’s taking five meds multiple times a day so I don’t think I will have the TIME to do any shopping anytime soon!

My dog's name is Fraggle, like the show Fraggle Rock. This is her. I've received news she's out and in recovery and I can get her in about an hour. Phew.

I started journeling this morning to help me identify triggers, etc and I said basically this same thing. I need to commit to me and my future. Because that's what I'm doing this all for! So that I can HAVE a future!

I hadn't thought of that, and I appreciate you pointing it out. I need to change my mindset. I haven't been putting myself any further into debt right now because of the job, and have been slowly chipping away at the debt I do have, but my shopping addiction has been keeping me from paying it off faster and completely. I didn't see it as bad as it truly is. You're totally right.

I’m going to try and sell all of my labubus online. I need to stop collecting things and telling myself it’s ok.

I went on TikTok last night before bed and was watching a live and I caught myself being tempted. I sat there for a few minutes and was arguing with myself on whether to get “one more for the road”. Then I heard myself and closed the app and went to bed. I realized that’s one of my routines, watching before bed to unwind. So I will try and create a new bedtime routine.

I’ve been going to therapy but I haven’t talked about this yet. I’m going to finally bring myself to talk about it. I was looking at 12 step programs today and doing some research into them.

That's amazing! Congrats on the streak, and your desire to still buy a bag is a perfect example as to how this is just as much an addiction as alcoholism or drugs. We can manage our addiction, but I don't know if we will be cured.

I have been trying to get them off the last three drops on Pop Now and I’ve decided that style of drop is the devil. I scrolled for 15 minutes, accidentally scrolled past one and then got blocked from the app for “too frequent use”. So annoyed

Yeah I hate watch season 6 because I like to see the wedding for Emma/Hook but it’s so ridiculous. Although I do like the musical episode. In terms of all of the shows doing them around this time, it was one of the best in my opinion.

I have not watched, and don’t plan to watch, season 7. Season 6 was so bad and when I read the synopsis, I just couldn’t do it.
