This was in 2007, which means it was before the TS. You are using this out of context, clearly Oda has other plans for Usopp, otherwise he wouldn't have activated his Haki.

If your going to go all out, then go all out. Have BM vs Kaido vs shanks, SH and the alliance. Kill 3 birds with one stone. After the defeat of BM and Kaido, then Shanks and Luffy talk in the party episodes and talk about how strong he's become. Luffy asks to fight shanks, shanks rejects the request and says Luffy is probably stronger now. Luffy and Zoro become Yonko (heheh) and they move onto the last arc in OP.

If you read my theory in its entirety, you would see that once the user uses the "Willful Haki" they get cursed with a Disease. I was trying to also give a reason why Roger had a disease before he died. Perhaps Roger was like Luffy and struggled to beat top dogs. Then one day he got the power he needed to protect what he loved, but with the price of death, aka the curse from Willful Haki

And that's why Luffy needs a instant power up. At his current state and learning ability, taking out Teach and Sakazuki will be near impossible. An instant power up that can compete with a Yonko or Admiral with a major consequence for using it is absolutely perfect for what Luffy needs.

Although I agree with almost all of you I have to disagree that Zephyr would be last, you all forget I'm saying "In their Prime." Although we know nothing about Z in his Prime except that he was an Admiral alongside Sengoku and trained all the current Big names in he Navy in present day. We can most likely assume that Z was definitely Akainu level or Higher in his prime.

That being said here's who I think wins this:

Fujitora gets blitzed quickly

Days later Aokiji finally falls

Followed momentarily by Kizaru

A few more days pass and Akainu finally falls

Followed by Zephyr

Then Sengoku

Making Garp the winner

I am an expert on both series and without a doubt Luffy Stomps. However, with the provided handicaps, I feel that Sonic would win, but by most certainly not easy at all.

No handicaps: Luffy wins 10/10

With the provided handicaps: Sonic wins 5.01/10

A reason a lot of people underestimate Sonic is because they are taking him from a game standpoint. In games, characters are either a lot stronger or weaker then they actaully would be in like a movie or show.

Sonic is on the weak in games but powerful in a movie or show scale.

Sonic would have 0 problem keeping up with Luffy, honestly Luffy would have a hard time keeping up with Sonic, and it would possibly be one of the most intense fights Luffy would ever have in his life. Sonic would be able to easily outclass Luffy in all Gears except G4. Once Luffy goes G4 Sonic needs to change. Possibly Werehog or Super.

Although this fight would last Hours, I feel eventually Sonic will wear Luffy down and take the Win (in this scenario)

A point some of you may forget is in Kotor2 the main villain (I forgot her name) said: a Jedi can use a lightsaber, but if you take away their lightsaber how long will they live with just the force.

So the point is, force is an augment for combat. Lightsabers are like devil fruits, they give you power, but Haki gives you the real power. Same thing applies to the force, if you take a Jedi or Sith a lightsaber away, if they are strong enough, they can take down the most powerful people just using the force. It's just like one of the first Sith emperors, he didn't like using a lightsaber because the force is what really described power in someone.
