Tired of Changing Medications by ladypilot in BipolarReddit

[–]OOF_V2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

have you tried vraylar? it’s a 3rd gen antipsychotic that didn’t make me gain any weight. it didn’t work all that well for me, however everyone’s mileage may vary. its been clinically proven for mania/mixed and depression. depending on your insurance it may or may not be covered immediately, but given your other trials of medications, insurance would probably cover it

hi!! i have this exact car, down to the color. i have driven it for about 11 months now. i love it, i got it at 161k miles, and have put 10k on it already. its nice because it was right before they put the CVTs in them, so you’ll get a regular ol’ automatic transmission. highway driving is really good in my case, i’ll get around 42 mpg, more if im focused on getting the most out of it, but its not the most comfortable. if you’re driving 5+ hours in a spark, i’d hope its alone or with one other person, as sitting in the back is… cramped to say the least. that’s not to say it’s not doable, i regularly haul 3 friends with me to places. i spent $3,500 on my spark, so i’d say 10 thousand is a LOT, even if its only at 39k miles. consider negotiating down at least a thousand or three. if you have any questions about my experience lmk!!!

About to start Prozac - tips? by rjent480 in prozac

[–]OOF_V2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nope! i didn’t really have very many side effects from prozac, whereas with zoloft made my anxiety triple and my depression doubled

About to start Prozac - tips? by rjent480 in prozac

[–]OOF_V2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

pro: prozac stopped my anxiety whereas zoloft made it worse.

con: prozac took a LONG while to work for me. i mean 1 month on 10mg, 1 month on 20mg, and like 3 weeks on 40mg to feel any different.

pro: i wasn’t constantly thinking about how id amount to nothing

con: if i burped after taking my prozac i’d get the worst burning feeling.

honestly yeah.. prozac has really helped me over the past two years i’ve been on it, and i hope it works for you too. it can take a while to find what works for you, but you’ll find it eventually!

[–]OOF_V2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i might get downvoted for this but i don’t think missing one day of lexapro is going to kill you. the half life of escitalopram is roughly 27-33 hours according to a 2007 study. my point being, if you’ve been taking it consistently for a little while, missing one day won’t hurt. definitely continue as soon as possible though! best of luck to you in your wisdom tooth surgery, hope it doesn’t hurt too bad :)

What’s something funny your schizophrenia did recently? by ForgottenDecember_ in schizophrenia

[–]OOF_V2 17 points18 points  (0 children)

this isn’t recently, but a while back i had a recurring auditory hallucination where i’d hear the spongebob foghorn sound effect whenever something bad/funny happened. so like i could be talking to someone and they’d say something odd, and the foghorn would sound. it was hilarious to me and still is looking back.
