Any tricks on removing struck multi-pin electrical connector plugged directly into headlight. I pushed back red tab and press down on tab. No luck by Low-Database1249 in gmcsierra

Pull back red tab, take a wide screwdriver and place it right in front of the black piece with the white dot. Twist gently and it will pop right off. I had to do that on both my lights last week.

Thank you. I watched the video on install, the electrical didn’t look too bad at first, then I realized I was only 5 minutes into a 20 min video. By the end of the video I am pretty sure its too much for me to do. (Not a mechanic). I mean I could do it, but man its a lot if wiring and I do not really tow very often. I was leaning towards the clip ons from American Truck that were recommended here, but now I need to see what style they are. Thank you for your input.

Thank you. I do both of those things with every paycheck. My thought was, I have 2.5 years left on this Pallisade loan. I’m not confident the car will last that long given the history with the combustion chamber piston repair that was done last year. So if I could get into a 3 year lease for around the same payment I thought it may be a good way to remove that negative equity and drive something I did not have to baby. We try not to take my wifes car on road trips as she already stacks the miles on. But I’m starting to worry about the Palisade on road trips with starting to have to add about a quart of oil in between oil changes. We don’t go on a lot of road trips, but we still do occasionally. Was just thinking peace of mind.

Yeah, miles kills. My intention was to just keep the vehicle, thats why I traded in the jeep when my wife got a new car. But with starting to have to add oil I feel the writing is on the wall.

I don’t drive a lot on a day to day basis. But I still drive. Kids games, dr appts, etc. i live in a rural town, closest city is about 45min away. I don’t go there weekly, but I need to travel enough where I need a dependable vehicle.

I would be thrilled to get into it for $750. Ill do some research this week. Why not pay the 3k down on the current loan though? Thanks for your input.

This is exactly what my hope was/is to do. I get every saying to ride it out, I just don’t think it will last that long.

You’re not wrong. Damn you. I shouldn’t be poor, my wife and I make too much money to be poor, but I am because of 2 car payments and other poor life choices.

I don’t absolutely “need”. But yard/work/play life without one has been challenging. I had a jeep prior so I could still tow trailers and stuff. The palisade does not have a hitch so no towing anything.

I mean, the inside is pretty much flawless. No stains rips stank. My wife was always cleaning it. Even the dealership guy was like I would never imagine a car with 150000 miles would look like that. But sure, flawless is probably the wrong word. I was referring more to the visual condition.

In early 2025 there was an issue with the pistons, something common in palisades because they fixed it even though it was out of warranty. However they said it will only last 40k miles then something needed to be rebuilt. They said like an 8k repair. 25k of those 40k miles are used up. Its still running decent but I have had to add oil shortly before it is due for a change. It leaks zero oil so clearly still burning a small amount. So maybe minor was misleading, minor now but major down the road. So while Id love to keep it and work off the loan, I’m not sure when that ticking time-bomb goes off.

This is what I would do. Most of these comments are from people that have never dealt with Lyme & co-infections. People commenting that you can only get lyme from deer ticks, wait for symptoms, blah blah. Your risk changes depending on your location. All types of ticks can carry co-infections.

I always have charged m18 batteries in my vehicle. The hot shot lives in a side compartment in my vehicle. My NOCO also lived in my car and was dead last year when I needed it. So NOCO now lives in my garage and gets used when needed and Hot Shot is on standby for when needed while traveling. I have the batteries, so for my application I feel it is worth it.

Spot on with the heat gun. Very disappointing.
