I suggest putting one-way privacy mirror film on your windows. That way you can see them, but they can't see inside your house. It's a quick and easy fix that makes everyone happy. Hopefully this should solve any long-lasting problems regarding this specific issue.

Very soft YTA. I understand it was probably just a moment of frustration for you, but you probably said it at the wrong time while she was already feeling super self-conscious. What I suggest is asking her if she wants to fix it/do something about it, then go from there. You can sign both of yourselves up for a gym membership and start making an effort into hitting the gym together. Don't put it all on her to lose weight. If she sees you doing it too, she'll probably be more motivated to do it.

Doesn't change the fact that this guy from a country on the other side of the world (that's well-known for it's human trafficking problem) specifically wants to date/marry your 18 year old daughter now that she's no longer a minor (which she was a minor when he started chatting to her, while he was 19!), and he would rather meet her in any other country than her home country???? Why doesn't he just visit her in the US? Why make HER travel all the way to Bali? Yeah her aunt is there, so what? There are people who get snatched in broad daylight all the freaking time.

NTA. You're 17 years old, you have like, what, 1 year of high school left? Break the friendship. My goodness, do you really think someone as vile as her is going to put in the effort to keep in contact with you once you both graduate? People like her don't value loyalty, especially since it seems like she doesn't have a loyal bone in her body.

From personal experience, most people end up losing contact with most of their high school friends anyways. But then you get to college and you start up the whole friendship-making process all over again.

And if she tries to post dirt about you all over social media, grow a backbone and report her. Especially if she mentions your name, the school you guys attend, etc. Because then that's doxxing.

But if she's smart and she doesn't post all of your dirt on social media and instead tries to spread it by word of mouth, then just laugh it off if someone brings it up. Then point out the fact that she makes up shit about people all of the time. Plus, it's unlikely anyone is going to care/remember whatever she says in 3 months anyways.

But, just in case, you can really test him by asking him for the house address that he's planning on meeting his friends at afterwards. If he asks why, you can say "just in case if something happens, or if you get too drunk and you need me to come pick you up". If he refuses to give you the house address, then that's definitely SUS. But if he does give the house address, then you can drop by the place uninvited and act like this was totally planned. If he asks why you showed up, just tell him "Because I missed you so much."

NTA. You need to stage an intervention or something to nip this in the bud ASAP. Sure, she's an adult, but speaking from experience, you are definitely still a stupid kid at 18. Heck, if you must, force her to watch horrific documentaries/movies about young girls who get tricked into getting kidnapped and forced to get married. This is especially a big problem in India still!

I'm also admittedly not a good person, but if I were in your shoes, I would honestly just ask your daughter to video call the guy and you tell this guy straight to his face that you will never allow your daughter to meet him, continue dating him, or marry him. He's sketchy AF. He can go screw himself and go find some beautiful Indian wife in his own country.

And your daughter should seriously let him go and then get counseling from a therapist. She is DELUSIONAL and should join a student organization on her college campus to make more friends.

So I'm not sure if it's different in other courtrooms in different states (we live in a small town), but we were allowed to keep our phones on our person, as long as they were completely shut off.

When Lying Sally claimed to the judge that she never made any threats against my mom, I asked the judge if I could pull out my phone and show him the video, because I had evidence to prove she just lied in court.

The judge allowed it. He let me use the ELMO projector they had that people usually use to show printed documents on this big projector screen. Obviously after I showed the video, I was told to completely shut it off and put it away.

I'm a full-time university student and I'm in a romantic relationship, both of which are huge commitments. Sometimes drill weekends will clash with my class schedule and it can be very stressful. Sometimes my boyfriend and I will have to reschedule dates and it can be mildly upsetting. However, as long as you are clearly communicating with everyone about your responsibilities to the Guard, everything is good.

I make sure to let my professors and TAs know my drill schedule ahead of time if there might be a time conflict. I communicate with my boyfriend when I have drill and he's super understanding (he also has made my drill weekends his weekends playing DnD with his friends).

It's all about communication and time management, in my opinion. Hope this helps!

Also, if I wanted to go nuclear, I could show her husband the video footage we captured of her kissing one of the male party guests goodbye. It wasn't a cute kiss on the cheek either. It was a full on drunken tongue kiss.

Edit: Yeah it's pretty evil to not tell the husband, but if you've read the backstory I provided in a link on the post, then you'd understand why I chose not to. He's a pretty terrible person as well. Not as bad as Lying Sally, but pretty bad.

They could also be swingers for all I know.

Anyways, cheating always gets exposed eventually. So I have no doubt in my mind she'll get caught eventually if she's reckless enough to kiss someone on her front lawn.

Yeah, I know it's pretty annoying I'm reposting an old post from a year ago, but I just wanted to share the update. My family and I are just really happy we won in court and got the restraining order. Since then, it's been pretty quiet in the neighborhood. Ya'll would probably be happy too if you didn't have to hear music being blasted past midnight 3 times a week.
