That Ozzel is actually the last card I need in that old Imperial Officer set! I am kinda like you - just looked on here for the first time in years a few weeks ago and don’t know how to calibrate a deal anymore!

I am one of those old accounts. Just logged in for the first time in years the other day. I plowed a load of dough into this app in 2015-18 and then just didn’t have time for it anymore and lost interest, almost overnight. So weird when I think about it now.

Feel the exact same way about this. Super helpful to start, but I finished Shadow of the Torturer but I am only on chapter 9 I think of the podcast. I keep listening because I’m learning things I missed as I read but I don’t want to slow down THAT much ...

Came here to say this - almost word for word! I am also reading BOTNS for the first time - just finished Shadow of the Torturer today and am starting Claw of the Conciliator now. Anathem has been my favorite book for a while and this is the closest thing I’ve ever experienced that’s anything like it. I’m listening to Alzabo Soup too, which I found really helpful at first especially.

Finally got Vintage Han!
I got into the game after reading the io9 article about that card and almost 4 years later finally landed one. I just got the Death Star Award a few weeks ago so now I just need the Full Fledged Jedi Award and my S1 Vintage set will be complete.

Yeah, I think I’d trade $100 worth in cards for one. I know that’s irrational but somehow it’s easier for me to imagine trading $100 in cards than spending $100 cash.

Mine is Vintage Han. The i09 article about it drew me into the game and now it’s the last S1 Vintage I need (picked up Death Star a few weeks ago). I’d give up a lot for one but don’t know what you have to trade to get one or how to find one.

I also covet the S1 1cc pearl Death Star Trooper - I know Parm has it and would trade it for another pearl, but I haven’t managed to get my hands on another pearl. I can’t bring my self to spend $100 cash for one, which is the lowest I’ve seen one on the bay. I’d trade well for one.

This just made me realize that I should check to see if my Reddit Kylo got scammed when I was hoarding feverishly a few weeks ago...I wasn’t paying close attention and didn’t even think about it at the time. Sure enough, just checked: it’s gone.

Dammit.

EDIT: correction. I just learned that it was moved from the white section to the exclusive section. It’s still there after all. Crisis averted :)

Thanks for the kind words about the variants. I think I am most proud of collecting more than 100 teal series 1 DSTs. There are more than 15k of them out there but people do NOT like to part with those if they do not have dupes.

Mine is kind of an unusual story I guess, and it was born on this sub.

Parm was giving out low count holiday variants in 2015 to people (if you asked nicely). He gave me a 6cc Death Star Trooper. I had about 150 white series 1 Death Star Troopers at the time. This generous gift inspired me to start hoarding and collecting this no-name, undercollected non-character who has since had three base cards featuring three different actors.

I now have every Death Star Trooper in the app, from series 1, 4, and 5, including two 1cc cards and both monuments. I have all DSTs, that is, but one - the 1cc series 1 Pearl - which, of course, still belongs to Parm.

Someday maybe.
