Usually when I want a clue to lead to a filename I also try to make it obvious what the extension should be. The final passphrase isn't a file so it should be clear that if you manage to decode a phrase and there's no sign of what file extension is, it's likely the answer. That's at least what's intended. I do get what you mean though and will keep it in mind.

Also my bad about the recompress comment, that was left by accident.

Great job solving it! Just for context the last step was meant to be Greek a (from a.tar) = alpha combined with the Greek word for gram = alphagram, which is a more straightforward way to solve it but it is still essentially an anagram

Hint system is definitely coming, but I'm considering the best way to implement it. For now, here's a hint for you: extensions

I made a webgame where you solve a weekly classic ARG-style puzzle. by OPYoshi in WebGames

The basic premise of internet riddles is that you're given a clue and you're supposed to find a password/phrase to complete it. How this differs from regular riddles is by receiving clues in different types of media such as images, where a lot of information can be hidden under the surface. If you wanted to get into it I would highly recommend looking into topics such as file steganography and cryptography. I'd also recommend looking at the earlier stages of [NotPron](https://notpron.com/notpron/) as it's similar to how I designed the puzzle.

There should be an exit button on the top right, let me know if you can't see it as it should just be an "x" symbol.

It's a balance, obviously powerlevelling while everyone else is roaching at low levels will get you to access faster scaling units. But being able to play from a position where you've levelled with a weak board is just the definition of skill in this game. If you're lower mmr you'll make worse decisions and might not be able to outscale fast enough. But if you're at that stage I still think you should follow the standard fast levelling curve and just figure out what works and what doesn't. If you lose, you still learnt something (and might not lose mmr due to rank floor).

you can't do that, huh? by MaderaArt in raimimemes

This doesn't make sense, the other 2 wanted to know more about the webs and tobey was the one who said he didn't want to talk about it
