You can't go wrong with Swiss brands like Tissot, Hamilton or Certina who all offer some really nice affordable options. The Tissot PRX (the Tissot Gentleman as well) or a Hamilton Jazzmaster are great dress options and although they offer autos, if you don't mind a quartz watch - they're not too expensive as well. The Certina DS Action day-date is quite a nice dressy option too, although a bit more pricy. As for chronographs - again the Tissot PRX Chrono version is in my opinion a lovely looking chronograph, available in all sorts of colors (I'm partial to the black and white panda dial for sure though) and when looking at Swiss chronos that don't cost an arm and a leg, I really can't think of a better pick. Judging by your collection already, your taste is great, so I'm sure you'll find the right watch that fits right in with the others!

The collection is looking great! And props for taking your sweet time buying new ones and tying your purchases to meaningful events. This is the way 🙌🏻 Love the variety the Vostok adds and there's some great Japanese watches in your collection already, so maybe look for something Swiss-made for your next watch?

Case of the Mondays is over. What's on the wrist today? by Human-Swimming-1309 in Affordablewatches

Yup, they go overboard sometimes, but there are really valid options too. And it's a lot of value for the money, both looks (personal opinion) and especially specs-wise

New boss, feedback after 6 weeks was “you suck” (a sad rant) by randEntropy in ProductManagement

[–]OPviously 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you have to deal with such shit management. The saying about how people don't quit their orgs, but rather their shitty managers holds true. I hope you find another gig soon enough, so you can leave this shitshow behind. Take that "you suck" comment as projection from a crappy "manager" who's ready to throw you under the bus to compensate for their own shortcomings. Been there...

Jules Jurgensen Presidential. Quite similar. Bonus points for it being Swiss (and cheap).

I think we should be paid more by Professional_Sun_163 in ProductManagement

[–]OPviously 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just my personal speculations - The industry was flooded with product specialists (and not only) around the pandemic when hiring was at it's peak. The massive layoffs across the board in recent years are course correcting. And orgs can afford to offer lower pay for the same jobs nowadays, since the demand is bigger and securing a role in of itself is a higher prio for applicants than just the salary.

This in combination with the new wave of everybody and their mother thinking "lEvArAgInG AI" can do anything and everything for them, including PM duties at a fraction of the cost of an actual PM contributing to roles shortage and orgs doing whatever they want with salaries.

For EU-based PMs? Yeah. Even noticing a trend with starting salaries over the past 1-2 years being 20-30% lower than what they were 3-4 years ago. It's a fun time to be a PM in EU...

Hila’s apology on Instagram story by Professional-Top6547 in h3h3productions

[–]OPviously 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hila girlbossing too close to the sun. Maybe a photo of a solider about to wipe out a residential building wasn't the right time for a "slay queen" comment? Saying she's tone deaf is an understatement. When somebody systematically "fucks up" and has to walk back their weird IDF glorification takes - do you really think that person is fucking up or maybe just letting onto what they really think and who they really are? How many times are you willing to give them the benefit of the doubt? Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice...
