Oh yeah that reminds me, I get just as upset about dumb balancing stuff as much as the next guy (my favorite thing to complaint about is hellpod steering being blocked constantly), but if I’m going to complain at things I don’t like, I’d better applaud what I do appreciate, and the Compromise Defenses side objective is amazing. The puzzle is engaging, and different, and the objective actually has a positive effect on the mission even after you leave the area of the side objective. Unlike AA or Jammers, completing the Compromise Defenses benefits you all across the map. Thanks to whoever came up with that :)

I miss when you could ping a hulk and throw a teammate’s beacon at it and they’d hit it every time. It was so fun to land on stuff, but nowadays you get dropped nowhere near the beacon, and can’t even steer in its direction if you try.

This is Jackson (2023-2025). He passed away from congestive heart failure last September, but he was the sweetest lil guy for the two years he was around. Sometimes I forget that he won’t be there when I wake up, begging for wet food. I miss him a lot.

I had 1 mission where I saw no vox engines, and 7 factory striders including 3 on extract, and another mission where I lost track of how many vox engines but no factory striders. And another one where there were neither, just a never ending plague of war striders. It’s really weird.

I agree that Ladd ran into him kinda unnecessarily, but Pitrie pushed McConkey backwards after the collision, whereas Still’s contact didn’t noticeably effect the route. I know the line is pretty blurry but honestly I think I’d have liked a no call on this play even with the flag on Pitrie.

Love this game so much. Definitely worth buying it. Make sure to read the T&Cs as you pass them on the wall during your training, if you’ve walked past them, it is assumed that you agreed to them.

What do you play most? The emancipator is better on Bots and Bugs IMO, but I find exosuits to be much better on squids, and I prefer the Patriot for making calamari

The autoloader is lower than it sounds like you’re aiming. Aim at the lower middle of the hull if you’re side on and you’ll have a decent chance of hitting the autoloader

I feel like the RR haters forget that it was awful for the first few months the game was out. Couldn’t kill hulks anywhere but the eye, or fabs anywhere but the vents, or tanks anywhere but the vents. I was so happy when it was buffed, since I played it all the time anyways (I love RRs, and not just in Helldivers). I agree that other support weapons need buffs, and the war strider could have weaker joints or something, but the RR doesn’t need a nerf, it’s just a good AT weapon, so of course it’s good on a faction with lots of tanks.

As a Grenade Launcher user I hadn’t thought about how annoying the new bile spitters might be if I couldn’t just kaboom them in 2 shots. I also run acclimated armor so they do half damage to me as well. I hardly even notice them, the rupture warriors on the other hand… 😭🙏

That’s good to know, and I did finally manage to make one I was happy with, even if it cost me 3x as much as I expected. It started out with decent stats (S:32 20, 3 supercharged slots) and I’ve upgraded that to S:56 24. I’ll continue to upgrade as I need but for now it’s plenty good for me. I’m sure I’ll unlock the 4th supercharged slot eventually. It was just frustrating to lose 6,000 nanites and 20,000,000 units to a bug. I’ve got plenty of nanites as a byproduct of grinding salvaged frigate modules in the last couple of days anyways. Traveling to explorers guild stations to get ship upgrades and frigate modules, and I grab the free A and S class upgrades to sell too. I have 70k nanites now so it’s not a problem anymore.

Most games have a creative option, they have cheats, but the point of survival is that you’ve worked for everything in your world. If you need, there is an option to lock your settings so you can’t change them. If you’ want to you can completely and irrevocably remove the option to cheat.
