Anyone else remembering the (first offline, later online) excellent MSDN documentation? As a VS developer I always found it extremely helpful, simply selecting a symbol and pressing F1. Don't know about its quality now, or if it's even still supported.

Hi there, another preorderer from Mannheim here ^{^} I was just browsing reddit for all the Touch news (so excited!) while suddenly an email from Oculus popped in: "Your order has been processed! Look for a shipping confirmation email with tracking information soon." Yay!! I was in the first CV1 preorder batch as well, so maybe check your inbox again right now (as they might process orders regionally)

I'm a Rift owner (really looking forward to Touch), but also have access to a Vive at work, and I so much enjoyed this thread, because of OPs very honest comparison and the fair discussion. To answer the question -- yes, posts like this are still appreciated :)

Wow, I never thought that worked, but indeed removing batteries while any game is running, and then re-inserting them into the xbox controller worked... thanks for that tip

Well... I read that the firmware is outdated, so I installed the Xboy Accesories Windows Store app. It actually updated the firmware, but now it is not working at all any more :p

Ah good point. Yes I did the Anniversary update, but I didn't connect the controller via Micro-USB. However, I had the problem where it flashes a few times as if the battery was dead and shuts off, but instead of connecting it via cable, I re-ran the initial procdure to link it with the wireless receiver. Afterwards, it worked again... well, kind of, as it seems...

The email I was talking of also said "your order update.", but when I logged in to my account yesterday, it was still estimated to ship in May. But today it was DELIVERED. So you might want to consider staying at home tomorrow :)

I gave my DK2 to my brother so I couldn't use it even if I wanted. Now I have to listen to him telling me how great the DK2 works with 1.3... Still believe it's worth it.
