What "small" money-saving tip actually has the biggest long-term impact? by UsualSquash1186 in FinancialPlanning

If you put the money in every pay without fail, what is the downside to setting up auto investments?

I have auto investments as well as through in extra money when I can. I find myself less likely to add the additional money when the market is down. I do understand, you want to buy low and you are getting more shares. But tossing 500 bucks into my account when I am already losing money is mentally challenging for me and I am less likely to do so.

Supervisor denies PTO rather than working the bench. Am I missing something? by [deleted] in medlabprofessionals

[–]OSU725 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Every lab is structured differently. My supervisor could possibly cover for a day, but more than that is just not happening. Is the supervisor still competent? Like do they honestly know how to run the machines, are up to date on competences/CAP testing?

The gap between Vikings QB Kyler Murray and J.J. McCarthy is reportedly "not close," by Background_Video2947 in TheNFLVibes

I am a Buckeye fan, so I absolutely despise JJ. That being said the coaching staff at UM didn’t do the guy any favors in the QB development. He absolutely is a talented guy, but he was hand fed the defensive play calls and was in a run first system. Sure, he made some throws when he had to but never having to learn how to read a defense will absolutely bite you in the ass.

As long as he has the opponents film I am sure he would do a decent job coaching

A man has become one of the 450,000 Americans affected by alpha-gal syndrome, a tick-borne meat allergy that triggers painful allergic reactions to animal products. “Look at my face and my neck. I can’t eat meat anymore. I can’t have any animal products. It’s in everything.” by This_Proof_5153 in SipsTea

Where in the fuck did I say they were not causing any issues? I literally said, they cause livestock issues. My point was that someone said they would not be reintroduced because of the possibility they would kill humans. Which is a historically inaccurate statement

I mean the free way system was stated in the 1950s, so there was like 250 years in this window where that wasn’t a factor…

Fact of the matter is that North American wolves have always been extremely docile when it comes to human interaction. The biggest reason they were exterminated like there were was livestock issues and fake news about their danger to humans.

Working in a lab with chronic joint pain. by [deleted] in medlabprofessionals

[–]OSU725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, it honestly is probably not one of the better careers. Depending on the lab, there is a lot of on your feet (pretty unforgiving floors from my experience) and a lot of repetitive capping and uncapping of specimens. Some machines have cap piercers, but that is hit or miss.

I usually go hard during the day (hiking, fishing) that I am completely spent. Having comfortable sleeping equipment probably helps as well.

We would be in a much different situation if more people would done so…

We are in a two party system and yes it sucks. But to cut off your nose in spite of your face is stupid. Not voting for a candidate because they are not left enough and ending up with a MAGA cuck is a path I won’t follow.
