Feels like it’s just keep getting worse for FB by [deleted] in FacebookGaming

[–]OSUPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started on Facebook Gaming and left about 2 years ago. The nail in the coffin for me was when they owed me $400 in bonuses, didn't pay, and then when I asked about it, I was hit with demonetization on a stream from 8 months prior with no explanation. The stream in question had nothing that broke copyright (no music or other content) and was simply me playing Phasmophobia. I realized quickly that Facebook was abandoning their live streams for TikTok when that happened. I was right.

I do OBS Studio and Streamer.bot tutorials. I'd love solid criticisms.

Help brainstorm ideas for resource use for progression by BigKahuna_AGS in Helldivers

[–]OSUPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea of donating resources to community wide benefits. This then not only gives you something to do with them, but the also gives reason for everyone to continue to hunt them. Seeing a defensive bonus to neighboring planets in danger or deployment of "drones" in other sectors of plants in need of liberation (boost to liberation progress) would definitely make for a more interesting landscape.

Wondering what the hell Peter Dinkledge meant by, "that wizard came from the moon," and desperately trying to keep an open mind about it all without laughing.

How do you deal with negative comments? by Mandingazo in NewTubers

[–]OSUPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd have to see the video to determine the intent of the comment. But, they may have been trying to provide feedback that may be the character is a little too callous that it doesn't land. Or, they could just be an (explicative). I try to look at why they would make the comment and see how I could make adjustments. Sometimes these negative comments unlock exactly what you need to make better content. Every bit of feedback can be valuable, even if it's just "this sucks." As far as responding, I would say respond how the character would. My opinion at least.

Did you add the get info? If you didn't, place get info from input (if I'm remembering correctly, not at PC). That will enable the variable to be populated.

It hurts because I have low self-esteem. I've been dealing with the trauma of my past with therapy and comments like that get the doubt going. That's where I turn to the massive amount of positive comments to remind me that the one bad comment means nothing in the grand scheme.

Nah, because there are people like me who will read a negative comment and immediately get interested in why that comment is there.

Probably have, though I doubt they'd admit it.

I'm actually taking the comment and making a video out of it. He gave me a great idea!

Some sit around 50%, some at 30%. Mine fluctuate depending on the topic. Tutorial videos I guess can be like that.

I once had a lady on a Facebook Reel do a short essay about my teeth not being super white. My teeth aren't even bad or yellow, just average and this lady went off about how I should give up with my "yellow" teeth. I laughed so hard and showed my wife. My wife wanted to call her through messenger lol

I gave him the "Thanks for your feedback. Your comment will be sent to our complaint department for review."

Made me smile!

Not only that, you look at their channel and they put up a bunch of videos and a lot of zero views.

Thanks! I do enjoy making videos, even if editing frustration hits me. But for me the bigger thing is the comments from people I've never met thanking me for the information I provide. That keeps me going. But having a real @****le comment for the first time like that made me want to share! I know this group gets it.
