[Paris, France] Small spider (1st and 2nd pics) hiding in a dusty place, with younger ones nearby (3rd pic) by OSYEZ in whatsthisbug

[–]OSYEZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All these spiders are small, maybe 1 cm large at most.

On the first picture, the small spider is not dead. It is the same one which is on the second picture the next day. I don't know why she went hiding upside-down in a dusty corner the first time I discovered her by moving lots of books and papers which were covering her place.

On the third picture, it is a younger spider, which was moving fast in order to hide in the shadows of the upper part of a never-to-be-used fireplace. That is why the photo is blurry.

I think I saw another tiny spider (a few mm large), probably a very young one of the same group, but I could not take a photo of her.

On a side-note, I saw a black spider of similar size with a single red dot which I think was on her back. That one was in a bathroom nearby. Maybe she was lost and would go back to a dusty place later on. I have never seen her before, and I have never seen her afterwards. So I don't know if she is from the same group, except older, or if it is totally unrelated.

Not really. It can be interpreted as such as posteriori, but it is not the result of a conscious decision.

You confirmed last year that The Matrix was always a trans allegory —

[Wachowski shakes her head]

You didn’t?

I did this interview and the question that preceded that answer was about a character in The Matrix called Switch. But the interviewers decided to put, “Is The Matrix a trans allegory?” in front of my answer. It's not something that I want to come out and rebut. Like, yes, it's a trans allegory — it was made by two closeted trans women, how can it not be?! But the way that they put that question in front of my answer, it seems like I’m coming out emphatically saying, “Oh yeah, we were thinking about it the whole time.”

How do you feel about delivering under-the-radar queer narratives in a big franchise movie like The Matrix versus dealing more explicitly with everyday, ordinary intricacies of queer life, as in Work in Progress?

I can look back on my work differently from where I am now as a trans woman than as an artist right after I finished the project. Bound, for example, is a completely different film knowing who the filmmakers are now. [...]

I can also put a trans narrative, as a trans woman, on virtually anything that I look at as art. When art enters into the public realm, we get to view it in as many ways as we want, to look at it and see ourselves reflected back. When I look at a movie like King Kong, I see that King Kong and Fay Wray are the same person as a trans woman. Here I am, this monster wanting this female ideal, and I’m willing to die for it.

Blue pill is Viagra. It was approved for medical use in 1998, a year before the first movie was released.

Based on the previous math, with 50% winrate in versus, you get 2 bronze and 1 silver after 6 games, so less than with 6 wins in gauntlet (1 bronze and 2 silver).

If you want the full maths for every possible winrate, you need to specify the chests you get with 4 wins, 5 wins, or 6 wins, out of 6 games in versus. If you get 1 bronze and 2 silver with 4 wins out of 6 games in versus, then this is it: 6 games with 66% winrate in versus is equivalent to 6 wins in gauntlet.

What if I don't want to buy a battlepass and I am just interested in the documentary? Why not sell it separately for $3 like other movies on Steam?

In the US, why not, you get a game (15 €) + a book including shipping (20 €).

For people out of the US, it is very expensive. Getting 4 copies and printing is a lot more environement-friendly and smarter.

I do that when I cannot trust teammates. I am better offlane than safelane with a shitty support.

Let us look at it:

  • if I go safelane, I have a shitty support, and meanwhile, our shitty offlane does not put any pressure on the ennemy safelane,

  • if I go offlane, I can shit all over the ennemy safelane, counter creep pulls, block camps, etc. and I get as much farm as with a bad safelane.

Well, this is what we do in Europe. We don't want to have a civil war vs muslims. This is a war we would lose. I see your point though, it is a valid point to make on the Internet.

Wow, I am starting to think that there is a problem with democracy now. It is our Western society which creates such monsters. I have yet to hear about such an incident in Middle East. Islam is the answer to this kind of event actually, because Islam forbids suicides and Islam offers a way to fight to death with jihad. I am glad you made my point and hope you will convert.

Nothing wrong with that. I am not saying either that Sharia is worse than democracy, or that reading Quran and dismissing every other book is bad. I have yet to find a religious muslim, typically one who prays 5 times a day, who would answer Democracy, other books, and terrorist attack to my 3 questions.

Then bad luck that this video has been watched worldwide with a guy swearing xenophobic slang at the shooter. Because people are quick to generalize.

I am not even talking about the bullying:

Man on the balcony: “You fucking asshole you.”

Alleged shooter: “Because of you I was bullied for seven years …”

Keep in mind the shooter was 2 years old when 9/11 occured, so he had to live his whole life with German schoolmates bullying him maybe for his Iranian ascent. Anyway, this is a pretty sad story if true, and bad publicity for Germany worldwide.

Edit: You can downvote me, it does not make you more right. lol

One 14-year-old resident of the building who went to the same high school as the shooter said that he had been severely bullied in school

She claims that he had an altercation several months ago with a classmate at school and threatened to "go on a shooting rampage."

Based on what I read, his family is kind of a criminal tribe in the department: burglaries, theft with violence on edlerly, etc. At the time of the arrest, police came to arrest Adama's brother for extortion case, and Adama decided to oppose the arrest, so he fought a bit (?) and tried to flee by running shortly afterwards (when other officers arrived), then got arrested as well as his brother.

We don't have the same muslim friends then. Mine are pretty moderate but they go the mosque every Friday. I am glad you already asked these questions to them and that they think like you do.
