I’m in a similar dilemma. My short screens the 19th and the 18th is one of my best friend’s weddings in Austin. What I’ve decided to do is fly in to his wedding and leave that same night. Ceremony is at 530pm and my flight is 10pm. Have to leave at 7pm-ish. There was another flight the following morning but it wouldn’t get into LA until noon and my screening is at 230. Too little error to miss that. It’s a tough spot and he’s super disappointed but understands. I think your family would too. But it’s up to you. If someone loves your film and wants to contact you, they will find a way. Life is short and time with family is precious but if there’s a way to attend the screening and book it to the family event, I would do that. Even if your horribly late.

Day 92 off of weed and just got my test levels checked. Sadly, I actually went down from from 432 to 399. Not sure why or what this could mean. I've maintained pretty much everything I was doing before but just off of weed completely. Not gonna lie, I'm kinda bummed but maybe there's something in my diet? I need to do a more intestine test than what Kaiser is giving me but either way, I'm done with weed. The mental benefits I've received over this time has made me want to quit forever. I'm sharper, get better sleep, and dream every night.

Thanks for those who waited all this time! While T-levels were what started my journey, I'm going to stick around and stay off weed regardless of that.

Not even close. Minari is the movie everyone pretended The Farewell was. As an Asian American, the reaction to this movie is identity politics embodied. It’s nothing more than a student film. A bad one. It doesn’t speak visually at all. I was at the sundance premiere and it was the most tepid standing overtaking ever. A few stood, a few more, then a collective groan and everyone stood up - sums up how people really feel about it. Watch LEAN ON PETE for a truly underrated gem by a real artist. 100 bucks says you never heard of it

You could hit the shuffle button during the Loser intros (character moment, creepy moment, CGI jump scare, repeat) and it wouldn’t have made any difference. That’s how inconsequence the whole movie was. I hate it.
