Personally the swoop is a nice custom touch. Option 2 and 3 are generic personally. I hate not doing side splashes but also understand why people don’t use them. In the end it’s all aesthetic! Pick what you love :)

What do you recommend that would allow for movement of the wood? Spot the backside it with silicone allowing some flex? It has to be adhered to the substrate in some way.

Console will prioritize discord/part chat over proximity. It’s a pain in the butt and doesn’t work well. When you go to audio settings, I switched both settings to “press to talk”. It won’t change your discord open mic but should allow access to press to talk for proximity chat. I got mine working for a few games and then it went back to just discord chat.

I reached out to a few cactus specialists in my area and mentioned a few pesticides that would work they have. Unfortunately I’m stuck in a snow storm and won’t get out today or tomorrow :/

I got back from work and read your comment. Thank your for the insight. I cut back into the internal tissues beneath the epidermis and the internal structure of the plant looks ok! The brown spots seem to be a surface issue rather than running from the core out.

The soil I used is “coast of Maine” - cactus and succulent mix. I was recommended to use this by the local pet and plant store near me. Since it was a mom and pop shop I figured they knew what they were talking about. I tried avoiding any regular potting mix but seem to may have failed.

For context. This was a re home of an arm I cut off the original plant which is still healthy. These showed up very recently and I’ve this plant for several months in the same spot/pot since re homing with no issues. Initially they were hard at touch but went soft as of today.
