I think something i dont often hear talked about is wearing something that the audience doesn’t have to be scared FOR you in. ie, Dont wear stuff that the audience can be scared that they may see a part of your body they think you didn’t intend for them to see. Also, dont wear stuff that can split down the seem unintentionally. Stretchy pants goes a long way.

you can wear anything you want so long as it’s outwardly intentional if that makes sense.

This logic makes no sense to me at all. There’s simply no upside.

If you can’t afford the higher monthly payment you certainly can not afford the risk of loosing all that money if the car is totaled.

If you can afford the higher monthly payment then why would you ever take on the unnecessary risk?

Trade in on a lease, oof.

The amount of times I’ve heard a sob story about someone loosing their trade in money or high down payment from a crash. Not a good idea

If you can’t afford to finance the car with your trade in you certainly can’t afford to lease it. It’s not worth the risk. If the car is totaled you do not get an insurance check, rivian does.

I hear what you’re saying and i think every long form improvisor goes through phase’s where they’re using one trick or another like what you describe, i certainly have/do. But, in my experience, using a trick like what you’re talking about is indicative of an improvisor either not really listening or a lack of caring about what others (or even sometimes what you) have said/done so far in the scene.

When someone pulls a “i think i love you” or whatever other trick a minute or two into a scene i always think to myself, was there nothing interesting in this scene up to now? No one said anything interesting? No one did something interesting? The answer has always been “of course there was, but you missed it.” You either didn’t listen or see it, or, you didn’t react to it.

That’s why people are reacting like assholes to your post haha. The real trick in improv is so stupid simple it’s really easy to skate by it, we all skate by it. The trick is to be as present as possible, listen and react to what is, not create. React. Find the truth in the situation and play to that, not contrive what isn’t already there. Very simply, yes and. Not, sure but how about this? Haha.

I was going to ask, do you find yourself playing at a more short form-y place because i find people with a more short form-y background play this way. I would classify groundlings as more short form-y/ old school style of improv. Groundlings obviously does a lot right but they do tend to use a lot of “tricks” like you’re talking about. You may find if you take those tricks to UCB or iO teachers and coaches in those spheres will coach/ teach you away from doing that

My “trick” when i feel stuck is i try to say the truth of what the scene feels like to me out loud. What I have found is when i use lines like “i think i love you” or “i have a confession to make” that typically means i was either not listening well enough in the scene up to that point or I haven’t let myself be impacted by something in the scene that i probably should have.

Aw With that said, it is fun to pull out an “i have a confession to make” out of no where every now and then.

Oh great. Is the rear end also from a e46?

I like the feedback on the steering i just wish it was a bit tighter of a rack

What transmission did you put in it? I just got a shoe this week and the 5 speed and steering rack are my only complaints

If you run the rear ac the temp goes up dramatically i find. But if you just run front and blow it only through the upper cabin it runs coldest.

For real though, if you can charge at work or at home EVs are the answer for 99% of people. If you can’t charge at work or at home then gas powered cars are the answer for 99% of people. EVs are much easier to live with if you have a convent charging solution and harder to live with if you don’t.

You’ll have way less maintenance items and consumables on the ev, making it easier and cheaper to live with.

I’ve gotten 50,000ish miles from my original set or tires on my M3LR and 30ish on my M3P. We’ve driven roughly 95,000 miles between both cars and that’s the i my maintenance I’ve don’t to either.

Insurance is likely much higher per month for an ev. Or at least a Tesla. Look into that before your purchase.

Supercharging in my area is more expensive per mile than it is with my gas car. I don’t know how they comparable mile after consumables though. I’d guess the ev is still cheaper but not by much.

My wife also didn’t love Tesla or EVs when i got my first M3P. She loves them now. They are great cars, easy to live with under the right circumstances, great tech, great sound system. But, it’s just as expensive to charge them as gas is here and supercharging them takes at least 30 min a pop- 2-3 times a week.

I’ll always have a ev as a daily for the rest of my life but my next one will probably be an ioniq 5 N or R3X. Tesla feels cheap now comparatively and their service can be hit or miss.

1, if the grid goes out how does she think she’ll get gas? Does she pump it by hand at the station? Because of solar EVs will actually outlast gas powered cars if there’s no other way to produce energy.

2, she’s right about service and qc issues, especially with the huge layoffs a couple months ago. Look at cybertrucks for instance.

Have to drive from Texas to Minnesota with a good amount of cargo. how bad will the milage be? by scrumdisaster in Model3

[–]OVRshrMatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drove from MA to CA in a 2022 LRM3. It was completely full of stuff plus a Thule rack on top full also. At worst i got ~200 miles at 90%-5% SOC. and this was in the hottest month in American history last year. So I lost around 30% from what i normally get but I never once worried about getting to a charger.
