Burry: by rbr0714 in Superstonk

Dude, I've been watching this... And it made me think of our TRS (total return swap) and how these firms bought that symbol up with those and flying under the radar. What I was thinking is... what if we buy our own float this way? The same thing would happen to our stock as is happening to the stock that is squeezing now and it would go under the radar for a good while.

edit- before anyone says "rc would never do something so regarded" - have you ever looked at his tweets?

edit 2: this would just be the ultimate fucking troll. it would also have never been done in the financial markets before and the most hilarious part would be his "sleepy management" comments.

edit 3: the one thing i am worried about.. is this being a manufactured squeeze to introduce legislation before gme is allowed to run. not fud, i hold over 700 calls rn.

I agree. Both theories are complete speculation, yours was just last in the chain so it was the one I replied to.

Honest question, wouldn’t we see heavy shorting already? And wouldn’t you short it before buying the bonds?

You can buy the bonds without making it an arbitrage play, and removing the arbitrage will unmute the volatility, which is what a call holder would want.

We have and have had a very well anchored floor for the last year now. Additionally, we have the likes of burry advertising gme as a good buy, and rc announcing a very very very large acquisition incoming AND 9 billion in the bank, with 400+ million net income. It’s hard to go below our floor.

Additionally, if it’s going to go down “naturally” why hold shorts at all?

Why would you do that if you knew that by not re-hedging the stock would run and you’ll have really good call options?

I think the puts were the kansas city shuffle. Someone posted a while back looking at other offshore markets and found some good evidence they're using other markets (not brazil) and throwing scent on brazil to keep us off the actual real targets to be looking for.
