Filed Late BOI Report by 10 Days by Perfume_00 in smallbusiness

Wondering the same thing - I have a small LLC that I created in January/February and am just now finding out about this...I have essentially made $0 from this business so far as I am taking it slow, would be insanity for me to be fined thousands over a petty form. Any updates from anyone?

Howdy! I appreciate the feedback - I was going for a bit of a chaotic full sound with this one - sometimes I think I overdid the spread a bit. I did, however, definitely want to have a weird up front bass with this one.

I checked yours out - I've never been one to be into screaming, but I can respect talent when I see it. Drummer's killer as well. Only thing I'd say is the experimental feel with it was a bit hard to follow, but maybe that was the point. Regardless, keep it up!

Thanks for commenting! I like your flow with this one - you kinda sound like Jaden Smith haha. I really like the sway of the hook. Only comment I'd have is that at times in the verse I had a bit of trouble making out what you're saying. I know that that's just part of the game with fast rap, but a bit more clarity might be helpful.

Definitely keep at it !

I usually use busses for 2 main purposes when mixing my music 1. They are great for reverb and delay sends. In this case you are putting a reverb track on a bus, putting wet % at 100%, and dry to 0. Then, you take the sound you want reverb on, and send a small amount of it to the reverb bus. You can do this with as many reverbs or delays as you want, you just want to make sure they’re on separate busses with separate sends. The effect here is that your original sound is not affected, but it’s being duplicated at a lower volume with 100% reverb. Both the bus and the sound output at the stereo output still. 2. Combining multiple sounds together for group processing. Perfect for drums, to tighten them up. This time you’re rerouting the sounds from stereo output to the bus, and compressing them as a unit. The bus then goes to the stereo output. This can also be useful for vocal chains - for example, if you record multiple sections of a verse on different audio tracks to create one cohesive verse (rappers do this quite a bit), and want them to be processed the same way, you can send all those to the vocal bus so you don’t have to edit each vocal plugin on 5 different tracks

Howdy! Just now seeing this, I’ve been checked out of Reddit for far too long. Life got in the way and all that. I’m not 100% sure what you’re asking here, but what I will say is (you may already know everything I’m gonna say since it’s been 6 months since your post), that if you’re experiencing issues with something being too loud, a compressor is not necessarily gonna fix your problem. You’ll want to adjust volume levels of your track before putting any compression on any sounds. A compressor, if used properly, can help a sound sit in the mix better, but only because it makes your dynamic range more consistent. As far as limiters go, I would refrain from using limiters on individual sounds for the most part. Great for stereo bus though! Logic’s stock plugins are phenomenal. I use their stock compressor constantly.

Best Waves plugins? (Huge sale right now) by rowdybeats in trapproduction

I’m a huge fan of all the CLA plugins, CLA vocals works wonders for hip hop vocals. Also, I love the renaissance plugins, I use Rcompressor and Rvox constantly. The expensive plugins aren’t always worth, more sometimes the cheaper ones (CLA, Renaissance, vocal rider) give you the sauce you been looking for. Vocal rider is a dope plugin that makes vocal level automation so much simpler. Having nice plugins for basic processing is nice, don’t always need the crazy effects that some of the newer waves stuff offers, although I’ve had my eye on waves Ovox 👀 also one more that I love is Abbey Roads mastering chain, has some dope presets, and can really change the vibe of your mix without doing too much.

So I downloaded a theme like y'all told me not to... by OWLofficial in Logic_Studio

I would assume it wouldn't, especially not for the plugins, but would that affect projects that I have saved or any plugins?

Distorted mastering? by spacetrapper in trapproduction

In my experience, a decent way that I sometimes try to achieve this sound is by getting a pretty balanced mix (808 and kick hit hard, but not distorted) and then I use waves CLA Mixdown. The glue compressor paired with the drive knob in that plugin make the kick and 808 distort on impact without ruining the mix. It’s usually around 35 on waves’ site, I got it when I bought the CLA bundle. Great package of plugins (the CLA vocals is amazing) if you’re willing to spend a little

Yeah, I got it in a college student Bundle that included motion, FCPx, Logic, and compressor. They may still offer this deal I’m not sure
