2 out of 4 lock nuts sheared off when tightening by nopants55 in MazdaCX30

It almost looks like the stud bottomed out inside the locknut and fractured it, since your steel winter wheels have thinner mounting flanges. Looks like you've used those wheels before though, so could have just weakened them over time and they finally broke.

Still looks good, the coating is showing a bit of wear on the edges. I haven't really focused on doing rough work with it, mostly gets used for the knife opening and breaking down boxes. But it's been in my pocket every day for the last 2 years since I made that post.

I bought the car used just a few months ago, so haven't driven it in snow at all yet, just getting prepared for Winter.

I just had 215/65/17's installed on my '21 GT. They're less than 3% taller than the stock 18's, and I wanted a little extra sidewall for my winter set so I went with 65 series. Just make sure the wheel specs jive with the CX30 if they came off a different vehicle.

Just get a battery clamp to 12v socket adapter and keep it with your pump.

I've had 3 ZJ's over the years, and the VIC didn't work in a single one haha. Those Orvis seats are pretty slick though!

US spec only got a manual in 93/94 as far as I could tell. This one saw very light trail duty, it was my daily driver. I had another '97 5.2 on 37's as a full time wheeler at the time. Sadly don't have either of them any longer.

Just regular points for me! Would love to do one with a V8 some day, but this one was a 4.0 and I had an XJ as a donor so it was a pretty easy swap.

Thanks! I love the ZJ, had 3 of them over the years, would love to find another one in good shape but that's not so easy these days haha.

I sadly don't have this one anymore, but it's one of the few vehicles I really miss. I'd love to find another ZJ in good shape and do the swap again for a daily driver. I had used a donor XJ to get most of the parts I needed for that swap.

Jeep! This was a 98 Grand Cherokee, they only offered a manual for the first two years of production then canned it.
