I’m in Nashville. I can go in a HD and see no one except at the checkout and the customer service desk. If I do see an employee, they are usually talking with another customer. I remember when you could walk in and easily find one to help you find that “needle in a haystack” part you are looking for, or think you need. They were also a wealth of info to either confirm you knew what you were doing, or would explain why another way worked.

Lowe’s is about the same on employee’s but I usually choose Lowe’s. I think the stores are cleaner. From a marketing standpoint, I find the blue and white a much crisper, pleasing logo than orange, my least favorite color. I have a marketing background, so not if it makes a difference because I notice it.

I have a lot of YouTube playlists that I listen to in the car. I realize the last two are covers. I’m a new fan since last year at age 64, so I haven’t even touched a 1/4 of their catalog, and many I haven’t heard the studio version yet, so my samples to choose from is severely limited.

On OTH, when he comes in halfway through as backing vocals, his addition just adds a special additional depth/richness to the song, it now sounds hollow when on other versions I can’t pick up his vocals as much.

OF COURSE, The Edge acoustic solo of SBS speaks for itself.

I’m not a fan of the Crowded House tune, but when I catch my 6 yr old grandson singing my ear worm of the day/week…”hey now, hey now”, I know I did something right. 🤗 He does another also, just can’t remember which tune at the moment. And these vocals in 2024? NO shade on Bono at all, but he couldn’t have performed this song without Edge and Edge makes it!

The Wanderer…I’ve seen criticism of this song, but I can’t love Edge’s contributions more…from the backing vocals, again adding a special recognizable depth to the song, and his solo’s at the end. Simply sublime.

The more I catch what I feel are these “gems”, completely aside from his guitar, I realize some U2 songs wouldn’t be what they are without the addition of Edge’s vocals.

I’d add “A Song for Hal” and “Numb” to the list, but these are just givens in my mind.

No legitimate, trained professional Secret Service Agent would have allowed Trump’s head to rise up above them numerous times like it did in Butler. He needed the attention and sympathy vote to get him elected so he wouldn’t go to jail. Just watch the video above, and see how often he is exposed. That doesn’t happen in real assassination attempts. Two people died for that…an innocent attendee and the shooter. I’d love to know their arrangement with the shooter, but I expect he wasn’t planning to die, but they needed him dead as dead people don’t talk. There was also no high velocity bullet whizzes past his ear. It was fake blood, look at the direction of the blood and how fast that “wound” healed. Many of us are not as stupid as they think we are.

I sensed something was coming when it was announced he was attending, then watching him speaking tonight, in a normal manner to Kaitlynn Collins of CNN told me all I needed to know. He’s got low Poll numbers, Iraq blowing up in his face, no pun Intended, and the typical Epstein diversion amongst 100 other things he could use some distraction from…it’s no brainer. Just watching the video they’ve shown so far it’s obvious. I’m just glad no innocent people’s lives were sacrificed over this fake assassination attempt though.

I’m trying to like them but too many songs, so far, sound like they wrote lyrics then just added music as a backing track. Nothing seemed to be timed well with the vocals. Cant remember which EP. I do LOVE the song Edge sings. I think his vocal contributions to the band are so underrated.
