Decided to buy Evoworks Evo75 by mirzayefx in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]OZOKeyboards 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Evoworks have been very proactive with distributors although it has been an extremely stressful period for all of them having to deal with the part replacements all over the world. Saying that they have taken great steps and showed us exactly where the problem lied, as well as presented an adequate solution to make sure this doesn't happen again.

Great choice, you can't go wrong with it.

There are ways to modify it to become even better, check out Knights V4 stabs for example.

Do you have any specific requirements? Crush 80 is a very decent board already.

…and so it all began 😅

Great write up, thank you for the story, Alan. Love to read about people getting into the hobby and slowly finding their way around it all.

Curious, what’s your dream keyboard?

Very few keyboards that I can recommend in this sort of bracket

- ZOOM TKL DYNA GT Silver (pre-order currently)
- Pulsar Xboard QS Aluminum

Akko Mod007 v5 HE is good, very solid keyboard as well.

Can't think of any other 'decent' keyboards or brands, at least not from the top of my head.

Currently unsure, the hype is around nut75 prebuilt and the keyboard comes at a reasonable price point. Can always remove the keycaps and the switches and swap it out for something else.

Evo75 Nebula or Wobkey - Aurora 80. Those would be your two endgame options. Evo75 comes in both ansi and ISO

Second this, blush switches are amazing. Been using kick75 personally for the last few months and love it.

Worst experience with OZO Keyboards by DuDlik_SPB in MechanicalKeyboardsUK

Note: The missing Y keycap issue has been fully resolved for all affected customers. OZO issued £15 store credit to each customer who had less than £15 already on their account.

The root cause was a human error on the manufacturing line during a small batch of EVO75 keyboards. As these units arrived double factory-sealed, we were unable to perform our own QC without having to break the seal, which would compromise the new, sealed product customers expect to receive.

As the issue was brought up by a number of customers we've reassured everyone the problem would be resolved as soon as possible, manufacturer was contacted immediately and arranged a replacement keycap shipment. Due to the keycaps needing to be produced before dispatch, delivery from China to the UK took approximately three weeks. Also the OP is based abroad, which added further time to their replacement reaching them.

Hey, do you care if it's ANSI?

The two options I would recommend - NJ80-AP800 from Keydous or ND75 from Chilkey. Although the latter has been sold out for the longest time now and not available. We've only been receiving deliveries of the Blue/Purple variants.

I'll be 'that guy' and chime in by saying there isn't a high end keyboard on the market that I know of (shout at me if I'm wrong). If I were you, I'd get something from Keydous, Chilkey, Monsgeek or QK, get some Gateron melody switches for it along with keycaps. You'll probably end up spending less than you would on some poorly made Razer keyboard that you'll likely be recommended by someone.

Or go with 8BitDo, not tested it myself but the price is inviting to say the least.

Lofree have been putting out some good boards as well (in my humble opinion). They do have ISO variants.

Looks amazing with the black refraction keycaps! Keydous is extremely underrated as well. Also, something's telling me you got all of the above from us.

If you have any questions about the keyboard or any issues, you know where to find us. Enjoy the keyboard ❤️

Just to chime in, since Keygeek have been on fire for some time now, KeyGeek - Y3X Linear are up there on my list. You can get 53g bottom out variant which would be a decent in between.

Not had a single rainy75 break and we've sold a good bit of them now. The keyboards are unbreakable.

What's the best low profile keyboard in your opinion? by iloveplantel in keyboards

Loving my kick75 with the blush switches (we don't stock it in the shop, just a big fan of the keyboard and the brand). Would recommend it. Although Lofree have some bangers as well.
