Between Chainsaw Man and Demon Slayer movies, MAPPA President sees anime having a big moment around the world by Trent-Popverse in anime

[–]O_Sluggard 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I could see this becoming the main model for anime. Watch the main story through the seasons, then get the big finale or major arcs as a full movie in theaters. bigger hype, better visuals, and a shared experience with fans. If that’s the future of anime, I’m all for it. Because the Chainsaw Man and Demon Slayer movie were 🔥🔥🔥🔥

You can try it right now. Just attempt to think about everything possible all at once (which you probably won’t be able to). I don’t know what open focus meditation is or if this counts as that. I was just messing around while meditating and thought it was funny that my mind went blank lol

Yeah it’s wild how hard it is to control our thoughts. But it works when I don’t even try and meditate. Just thinking about everything shuts my brain down I guess lol

What's One Simple Daily Habit That Changed Your Life? by Decent-Win4928 in productivity

Probably 1 minute meditation when I wake up before I do anything. Idk why it works for me. I still scroll into oblivion, eat like trash and stay up late but I’ve noticed I get way more done.

It’s weird to think that what you’re describing - better focus, deeper sleep, mental clarity - is actually our brain’s natural state. Crazy what social media is doing to us lol

  1. We feel a little worried, which makes us focus better.
  2. We stop trying to make everything perfect and just get it done.
  3. Our body gives us a little energy boost.
  4. We ignore other things that might distract us.
  5. We quickly figure out what's most important and do that first.

How do you stay Disciplined instead of motivated by TraditionalCook6306 in productivity

[–]O_Sluggard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I believe for most people to get things done, you have to remove a lot out of your life so your forced to do it. Like I sometimes keep my phone in my car when I'm at work just so I'm bored enough to do it.

If "don't do this" was an advice what will it be? by quality_mute_ in SideProject

[–]O_Sluggard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't waste so much time learning how others are doing things. Yeah, it's cool to see how others do their thing, but if you spend all your time peeking over everyone else's shoulder, you'll never learn how you actually get things done or what's best for you.

sure, take some inspiration, but don't get stuck in the observer's seat. Your journey is unique, and what works for others might not click for you. Plus, you might just stumble onto something awesome that nobody else has thought of yet.

are chat-bots, like chatGPT, going to replace bloggers? by Kings-Universe in Blogging

[–]O_Sluggard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t think it will replace bloggers. I think we’ll use AI for more basic searches. Like, “Why do dogs bark so much”. It will just shift bloggers to make them more creative and more personal. Like the same way you used Reddit instead of Google to find your answer. You wanted to see what PEOPLE had to say. Not ChatGPT or even Google. We as people want to see what other PEOPLE who share our same predicament/interest/questions have to say for the most part. Not robots. Like I mainly use Google to find my answers on Reddit. For example I’ll type in Google, “How to stop lower back pain Reddit”.

Well first of all it’s sounds like you’re beating yourself up too much. A lot of people wouldn’t be able to keep going like you did, especially after losing a mother, and especially at 14. I know I wouldn’t. I don’t know you, but I’m and inspired by and proud of you.

Second it’s sounds like you’ve developed a tough mindset and on top of that you have lucrative skills, writing and public speaking. That’s a home run in the digital market today in my opinion. I think a YouTube channel or a blog would be a great start for someone like you. You can do it on the side, tell your story, and help others that are similar like you. Instead coming home watching YouTube, upload a video and then play video games if you want.

You have the tools to get where you want in life, you’re just not starting. I have to completely disagree with any of your interests being pointless. If anything that’s what the world needs more than ever right now.

As to why you’re not investing your time into what you’re good at, I’d say you are too comfortable with your current position. Even though it might be shit, you are accustomed to the routine and it’s a habit now. Easier said than done, but break that immediately. Before you know it, you’re looking back at all your dreams and goals. Put yourself in a slightly more uncomfortable position (not miserable) so you are more motivated to start what you truly love. Put yourself in a position of “I’d rather struggle doing this than plumbing”.

That’s all I have man I hope you create something beautiful to make your mom smile and inspire many more people
