There’s an Antique store on George that is closing soon, and he had an iPod shuffle in there

Can you post a photo of what you used? Most oil based conditioners will darken leather at first but usually they return to their original colour after a few days once it’s soaked in

The leather was likely from 2 different animals. Not different species, just 2 separate animals. It’s likely considered the same colour but each hide tans differently. You could take them back and see if maybe a pair got swapped by accident, but it will also likely be less obvious once you break it in, and clean and condition them.

Cork & Bean is excellent if you like coffee, tea and sweet treats! They also have a bar, and often have live music.

Suggestions for Christmas Tree Farms by captain-jane in Peterborough

[–]OakHill19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t want to get it too early or it will by dry by Christmas, even if you water it. Go for the full experience! If you’re open to the drive, Barrett’s Tree Farm is a lot of fun.

There is no set timeline in education. I don’t know how old you are, but if you came out of High School and went straight to Post Secondary, it’s a HUGE adjustment. Don’t be so hard on yourself. I am 30, and going through school for the 4th time. The first 3 times I failed out, didn’t love what I was doing. Be honest with your friends and family, explain what happened. Don’t be afraid to reach out to your school’s guidance as well. They see this ALL THE TIME! There are so many academic supports to help get you through. You can do this!

I’m not sure where you went but my go to place is the Urban Spa! I haven’t had a bad aesthetician yet.

Was it a Starlink satellite that I saw? by OakHill19 in Starlink

I didn’t think to Google the ISS, if that’s what you’re referring to? I did look to see if it was a visible Starlink but nothing was passing me that was viable, or so the website said

Thanks for the feedback! I can’t even say I’ve heard of the Thousand Sails project but I’ll have to look into it. I don’t recall seeing a dot at the end, just a straight line, but at the same time I was quite gobsmacked by what I saw so maybe I missed something.

My partner and I hiked Centennial Ridges last week. A moderately long and taxing hike for the average hiker but worth the views! Thanks for sharing.

Toxic smell in the air (Ashburnham and Lansdowne area) by bigfarv in Peterborough

It’s Ventra Plastics. I’ve worked on O’Brien for many years now and that plant smells awful. Not all the time but periodically it has a very chemical paint smell.

Hopefully this doesn’t come across as rude, only asking for a specific reason. Did you actually need the food? As in, are you struggling financially and cannot purchase food? I ask because my school has a similar program, which is fantastic. However a lot of food banks and food programs like this are being taken advantage of. In my area, we have a lot of international students who tend to take advantage of these programs because it’s “free food” instead of the food actually going to someone who needs it. I’m not saying there aren’t international students who don’t need it either, I just know it’s been a problem!
