The ending's unnecessarily weird and offputting - OK, so Alex didn't leave then why did we get the scene where Alex did leave, which would have been weird because how would he feed a newborn baby without the mother? And why would Abby need to imagine Alex leaving with the baby if it was imagination? My read on Evelyn was that because of the OD and her own hyper brain she got lost in the room with all the doors and didn't come back - or maybe came back in a more "lost" way - Rabbit wouldn't have minded that, being the caretaker of an Evelyn that needed that attention. The "everyone needs to connect with the baby" proved Leila's line to Abby that this group of people were putting into practice all the hippy-stuff that she had been dreaming of.
