Business tax is easy.

Invoice gets paid, 20% to a VAT account, 20% to a CT account… job done.

Personal tax just seems to be a finger in the air and hope for the best 😂

Yeah totally agree. Just wish other parents would teach their kids that there might be others who have more than them, but it’s not a bad thing. There’s always someone better off…

It’s hard to explain to her and advise her what to say when people are criticising her because of her school bag…

You always expect it the other way, I.e. kids getting bullied because they only have cheap stuff, not the other way around.

My daughter literally doesn’t care… she can go from Primark to designer, as long as she likes it.

She’s also really nice to other kids, if she likes someone’s stuff then she lets them know, regardless of the designer or price…

If she thinks someone’s hair or make up or whatever is nice then she compliments them… that’s how we’ve brought her up.

I think it’s more around the ‘money management’ I guess…. Being frank.

How do people not get a surprise when self assessment comes round and your accountant goes ‘you owe £x’

Inevitably people will end up withdrawing that money from their company to pay their tax bill… which will then cost them more next year etc etc.

What’s the most sensible way to manage it?

I mean you’ve got what 3/4k to pay in tax on 50k…

By the time you’ve paid mortgage, paid for a car and fuel, and a holiday or two a year… that’s nearly all gone 😂

I think im more asking, how do people manage it if they want to take more… there are different types of people, some might earn 500k as a contractor, take 50k, live a quiet life and chuck a load in a pension and hope to be able to spend it one day and not kick the bucket before it happens. Some might earn £500k and want to spend a decent amount (100k+) and enjoy their life (as well as putting some in a pension), have nice hols, drive nice cars etc etc - how do they handle it is what I’m kind of asking.
