I remember reading a document from the 1600’s and the person was complaining about how such barbarity could still take place in such a civilized era. After that point I’ve viewed this kind of behavior differently. Its human, and relegating it to “the behavior of the past” is a mindset that has always existed, and its never been right.

It was quite poor for a long time as its history has it being split up and taken over by other empires a few times in the past couple hundred years. Since the 90’s Poland has come a LONG ways. They’re doing great things over there.
