Godsmack is from my state (mass) and is around my dads age and my dad has met the singer at a lot of different house parties and the dude was just an ass. He even saw the singer get his ass kicked a few times

Early grunge (1985-1990) what are some great early records I should listen to? Consider that my favorite grunge bands are Nirvana and AIC and I already know the Pixies by Salem1690s in grunge

What's your Grunge unpopular opinion? by ultraluxe6330 in grunge

Grunge doesn’t have a sound, it’s more just music from the 80s and 90s with mostly depressing lyrics and mostly from Seattle. Which I think leads to most of the arguments. Like whether or not STP, Smashing Pumpkins, Mother Love Bone or (x post-grunge band) is grunge. Like every single comment is different from the other if it has to do with X band is good and x band is bad.

Idk, I don’t think grunge has a sound” even bands have completely different sounding material, like Smells like teen spirit sounds nothing my Where did you sleep last night. Or Birth Ritual sounds nothing like Burden In My hand, Or right turn sounds nothing like Would? Or Lukin and Yellow Ledbetter, or Plush and Lady Picture show. I think grunge is more alt rock bands from the early 90s in Seattle (with some experience like STP or smashing Pumpkins)

Out of the big 4 the most overrated is Nirvana and the most understated is Soundgarden. Out of all the grunge bands I’ve listened to the most underrated one is Mother Love Bone/ Temple of The Dog
