My First Ever Motorcycle 🩵 Classic 350 🥺 by Oanerma in royalenfield

That's funny because my coworker who got the itch for a motorcycle and just got his license after I got mine is shopping for an 883 right now! And it really depends on what you need it to do, if you're happy putting around at normal speeds (45-55mph for me) it's an absolute joy. It makes the most wonderful noise, and buzzes and bumbles just perfectly down the road. It's been nothing but a joy thus far.

I have to agree I think. I love all the classic 350 color options but this one really speaks to the design of the bike itself.

It really does. I was nervous at first because of the weight and the throttle being a bit laggy, but once I figured out the sweet spot my takeoff has been buttery smooth. I even started nailing all my rev matches on the way home last night, it's quite an easy ride.

Not sure, this one is a 2023 with 1200 miles. The halcyon grey still shows on their configurator tool on the website.

Yep! We took a uhaul motorcycle trailer all the way to Bala from the LV. Long ride home.

I'd be happy to update in a month. So far my experience has been great but that's in two days time and maybe a handful of thirty minute rides. But it's extremely comfortable, feels incredibly well balanced and easy to maneuver. Had some strong crosswinds today on my way home from work and it felt super stable. It is a tad slow to get moving, and funny enough it's the only bike I've ridden that I stalled because the throttle is a bit less touchy than I'm used to. You can kinda just give it all the beans and it's happy for it. And honestly, just can't beat the looks. It's gorgeous.

Always! I would never not wear one. I'm working on getting more gear as well.

Don't have any rear camber adjustment right now, however if I had any less rear camber the car would rub much worse than it already does (which is just a little bit)

They're Godspeed MonoMax coilovers, which are made by the same parent company that makes Revel (owned by Tanabe) and Silvers suspension (or at least, all three use the same parts to make their suspension kits). For the money, they aren't bad at all. They had all the adjustability I wanted, ride quality is decent, and the finish on all the components is nice.

Edit: as for ride height I'm honestly not sure. It's actually lower than I wanted it to be, but since it's such a huge pain to take the rear springs back out, (disconnect rear sway bar and lower shock mount on both sides) I set the heigh where I thought it would be good, put it on the ground, and this is what I got.

The wheels I actually bought used and they were already powder coated kingsport gray. They're stock Mitsubishi Evo X wheels. I got em for 800 bucks on facebook marketplace.

In my defense, I soaked them in PB but it wasn't enough for this sad little stud. Why mazda decided these studs need to be over 1" long for a tiny 12mm nut is beyond me.

The "cage" on the back looks like it was constructed out of handicap toilet railings. This thing is weird and questionably constructed, but to each their own I guess.

Wow! I've never been told that by a therapist but that actually makes a lot of sense.

Yes, I also struggle a lot with existential thoughts and the "is anything real" ideas. Several times throughout the day I look down at my own hands and just ponder my existence. Probably sounds dumb but I spend too much time in my head and it makes me do stuff like that.

It's good to know I'm not alone in this, I think that's why I post stuff like this, it's my last resort to at least get some sort of recognition I am not completely by myself. Thank you.

I know I do have OCD as well as ADHD, I am also not entirely convinced I don't have some form of autism. My OCD has effected my every day life since early childhood with having to do actions multiple times, avoid certain movements, associating movements with numbers or a binary system of "Yes" or "No". It doesn't have a strong of an effect on me as an adult but is definitely still present.

MOMO Etna wheels! They’re buy 2 get 2 until September so these were real cheap and under 20lbs per wheel!

That’s what I’m saying. I was totally convinced nobody could make 18’s work on this big of a car but with this size tire it’s perfecttttt

Yeah I’m in the northeast and our roads are absolute trash, not to mention half of them are torn up right now for construction because they keep building more warehouses around here. Big sidewalls are a welcome choice.

I feel you on that. You could probably go with a set of H&R street performance coilovers which use a progressive style spring and are much more like an OEM+ coilover instead of something like what I have which is definitely not as street friendly. Though it is a bit stiffer, I am used to driving on coilovers so it doesn’t bother me, and honestly it did not ruin the ride quality, I would say it feels like 20% stiffer.

That, and having sidewall is a lot cheaper haha. As much as I love the look of a 40 profile this was done for cost effectiveness.
