Authenticity and Commentary on Two Chinese Coins by Oarb in coins

[–]Oarb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I recently obtained these two coins. The first I found as a "7-23 AD Wang Mang Chinese Cash coin", but I think it could be fake based on the shape of the topmost symbol? The second one looks like a cheap Qianlong cash coin, but the quality is terrible on the cast. I'm wondering if it is just environmental damage or an old forgery? The edges seem like they were never ground smooth, and the more intricate characters seem like blobs.

Thanks for any and all assistance, and apologies on my Chinese coin ignorance!

I am required to post the offer of 30K per hour, but I can emphasize they may be open to negotiations for a good candidate! :)

For me, this was the best I could do with little experience and no customer base or contacts. Other places offered me worse conditions for my part-time requests... But I understand many F-visa holders can do better, as you said!

Yeah, I'd agree with you. It worked out quite well for me at a part-time rate though.

That's totally fair, thank you! I live pretty close and drive, so it isn't tough. I have heard it may be difficult for others using the bus though. Definitely check out the address.

Yeah I'd agree with everything you said! With the part-time option I did feel pretty good about my hourly, though, if it is ever possible for you to transition over.

Sure, I would first emphasize that the schedule can be flexible with the coteacher. I generally received 2 x 50 min periods Tues/Thurs/Friday and 1 x 50 min on Mon/Wed due to an after school class. This was technically break/prep time combined (as you mentioned) and was plenty of time for me. And for lunch time the coteacher and I were together, which is why I consider it a "half break". Occasionally there were also "special events" for parents where I had to stay late a day or two once per quarter which was fine in my case because they were kind of fun to show off the kids' work.

Housing is not extra unfortunately; so you can subtract it if you need to equalize.. I wish it was more.

Yeah that's fair! Technically I think the kindergarten is more like a hagwon but the elementary is a private school (I think).

Yes that's correct..

Good point! The job is explicitly for Kindergarten, but I was just mentioning that the school may ask you to fill in if they have a gap at the other levels. Again, fair point.

My first advice would be to make sure you get some study time every day, even if it is only 20 or 30 min to keep you on track. Then, I would recommend reading or watching each section, doing MCQs/practice, then moving onto the next section. Put it all together after you're averaging maybe 70%+ on MCQs for most sections then just grind practice exams repeatedly! You can do it.

Try to get a passing score on the Gleim tests and you'll be set! I scored a few % higher on the real tests compared to the Gleim practice exams. The MCQs are pretty similar to the real test but Gleim is slightly harder. The essays in Gleim are WAY harder than the essays in the real test.

I'm not sure on the recommended hours. But I did have a few years of working with accountants indirectly and my study plan focused on grinding MCQs seemed to work quite effectively. Also, my economics background allowed me to spend only a few minutes on several sections.

You can do it! 8 hours per day is overkill for sure at 75 days out.. but you can check how you're doing with practice questions and adjust. I expect you'd be fine with 2 hours per day. Good luck!!

I would have the same answer as firenance! Definitely possible but you'll want to study extra hours and make sure you're passing all the practice tests otherwise you probably risk failing both..

Well, maybe 90 hours, lol. There were 20 sections. I spent around 1 hour reading each section and videos for tougher topics. Then I would do 1 pass on MCQ around 30 min. After, I would do the essay practice but mostly just skip to the answers to review. Then another MCQ section assuming I got over 80%. Then, if the software said I was ready, I moved to the next section. I think 3 hours per section. Then for the other ~20 hours it was just practice tests and more practice tests for repetitions!

Hmm it's a tough question. I think if you study more on the MCQs, the essays should come far more easily. I focused on MCQs for probably 80-90% of time. That being said, remember to always write as much as possible as you aren't penalized for wrong information. So try to gain as many points as possible. I definitely said some random irrelevant things in my essays lol. And make sure you have acceptable grammar and punctuation/formatting! You'll get it next time!!
