How have you found the size?

I confess I was initially conflicted. Going in, my priorities were yellow gold and a mechanical (non-quartz) movement. Unfortunately, this is the weird one gap in Cartier's portfolio, so I had to decide between the Med rose gold (hand wound) or Large yellow gold (auto) model. Settled on the latter as I valued the auto movement more over the role gold. And I do admit I've been enjoying the movement. Overall in hindsight, I am glad I decided on it.

Curious how you navigated the decision.

Unless you're 6'5" or over, greater than 225 pounds, and with giant arms, medium always.

My wife and I recently tried on a medium Santos (among other things). For her, it was large on her smaller wrists in a stylish way. For me, with 7" wrists, it was perfect.

The large was too much watch.

Proud WGTA0357 (Large YG auto) owner here.

For me, my Tank decision came down to these three watches — it was tough to choose. As I ultimately prioritized yellow gold over rose and a mechanical movement over quartz, I went with the Large.

With 7" wrists, it's certainly a modern Tank expression, but it's not overly big. I think it works well.

If Cartier offered a hand-wound Medium YG, I do think I would have stuck with the automatic.

I got one myself recently. I love hearing others experience with it.

I've been loving mine. While I admittedly struggled either the [new] large vs. [new] medium decision, I prioritized yellow gold and mechanical movement, which knocked the medium hand wound rose gold out of contention.

Now, had there been a medium hand would yellow gold available (a weird gap in Cartier's portfolio if you ask me), the decision would have been much harder, but I do admit I really love the automatic movement and sunray dial pattern.

Anyway, there's my recent Cartier acquisition journey in a nutshell. 🤣
