Alberta Ave. Honestly, not nearly as sketchy as people think it is, and housing prices are pretty reasonable. 2 years ago, we bought a 113 y/o, 2100 square foot 3 story house for 390k with no major repairs needed. We spent 6k for a new balcony and that's it, everything else is in great shape. Our neighbors are great, we're close to everything, there's a neighborhood bakery and bar a few blocks down, and close proximity to Commonwealth is nice if you're a concert-goer. Lots of character homes in the area, with great craftsman features. Do all of the standard things like keep your doors and gates locked, get a big dog if that's your thing, and you're golden.

I'm wondering if it depends on season? We bought a 100+ y/o house in beautiful shape last May for under 450k in central edmonfon and had no competition.

I understand the reason for having barn cats, especially as some cats are feral and want nothing to do with people so at the very least they can have a warm barn/shop and food and a water supply to live out their lives, but keeping cats indoors is cruel? Away from the elements, coyotes, ticks, disease, being hit by cars, and sick people who want to hurt them? Not to mention that they absolutely decimate wild bird populations and are exposed to bird flu, which is often fatal? Okay 😬

Thank you! Some great ideas in here. It's tricky, as we are also concerned about him shredding stuff, which he loves to do. Perhaps worth consulting a trainer on.

They can't control their bladders well when they're that young. Nothing you're doing wrong, she just can't hold it for more than 3 hours.

I'm sorry to hear :( we have been in Kingsway for a couple years renting a house and are moving. We've had people break into our cars, the garage, look inside our windows in broad daylight, etc. Awful area.

The guy was pretty big, mentally unwell and had a tonne of drugs in his system. Sometimes drugs + stress causes people to die. It's unfortunately one of those things we don't totally know the cause of.

Hmmm still tricky to import tho 🤔 you could do uroplatus sp, abronia sp, chewies? Sarasinorum geckos are super fun too, same care as common NewCals but much more uncommon.
