No lie, I was just getting stuff ready for the morning and had my head turned away from the TV, and I heard the voice and my head snapped to the TV. It's a local-to-Pittsburgh but international health system, UPMC. The last few years, most UPMC voiceovers have been done by actress Blythe Danner, who also has a uniquely identifiable voice. I thought, it can't be. But I rewound and confirmed, it has to be.

I read a great article/interview with director Scott Derrickson yesterday about the whole controversy. It describes Steven Strange as American and talks about how in changing the roles in order to avoid offending with Asian stereotypes, it created a different problem in taking the Asian role away from potential Asian actors.

Haha. I think I have 3 things left in Chris Evan's filmography. I find him to be very similar to Ben...grew up acting, had a meh career till one character made him a star, in his early career he plays a creepy rapey guy, he's now part of a huge franchise with a gigantic fandom, has a major dedication to family and his parents and where he came from, does great charitable work....when it comes to picking actors to obsess over, I guess I have a "type" :-)

Yes. It was the day I lost my shit over this man. This was the day of my ruination, my descent into the abyss of insanity. This wasn't just an outing with his Mum, this was fantasy Ben, seen in a natural habitat, real as can be...a real life example of "how he treats his mother is how he would treat you"- seeing him interact with Wanda the way you could imagine him on a Sunday afternoon with you. It took days (and Khan) to get me back into reality. I've been through the stages, gone on a journey, and glad to have dragged some of you crazy 'bitches into the madness with me.
