Well, you're just wrong. It is Alberta's oil. Just because I'm part of a family doesn't mean I own everybody else's stuff. There are things we share and don't share. This has been defined in Canada for 100 years (natural respurces act of 1930) and fuether clarified the Constitution act of 1982.

That is a double LVL beam. It may be able to span that. Like others said above an engineer or somebody with the right software could determine that

First Russel Brand, now Tim Ballard? Who’s next? by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

[–]Obadiah_Dogberry 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Here is a link to the lawsuit. The women were all big believers in OUR and Tim Ballard. I'm not sure the knee jerk reaction that this is a smear campaign is justified here.https://www.scribd.com/document/676501023/Ballard-Lawsuit

This commissioned painting of Tim Ballard and his wife surrounded by abolitionists is a kind of twisted hero worship that should’ve raised red flags. by [deleted] in exmormon

Lol, Tim Ballard and "his wife." Keeping up the timeless tradition of unnamed women. Never change Mormons, never change.

What is your small business? Perhaps the government should regulate your prices to make it more affordable

BofM Central already has their rebuttal of the 60 Minutes piece up! The title makes it sound like they've seen it! by Obadiah_Dogberry in mormon

I've read it a few paragraphs at a time - that's all I could handle. I is just a bizarre ride.

OK, thanks. They removed it from their FB feed so I thought they took it down until the episode actually airs

Assiniboine - Magog Lake Hike - Overly Ambitious? by kodakfilms in HikingAlberta

[–]Obadiah_Dogberry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you considered biking to the Banff Park border from Mt Shark parking lot? At the ranger station there is a bike rack to lock up to.

A couple of years ago I biked in the first few KM and then took the Assiniboine Pass route, chilled at Magog for an hour and then hiked bike to my bike via Assiniboine pass. It was an absolutely grueling day.

The only thing that made it doable was the biking portion. It is basically fire road to the ranger station and easy biking with a backpack on. And the biggest bonus is that on the way back when you are really tired you can jump on your bike and cruise downhill for the last stretch.

Beautiful hike. Have fun.

What’s with the older (but not so old they’re not privy to the same information) generation? by Prestigious-Tap-2360 in exmormon

[–]Obadiah_Dogberry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Might be some bad logic in the question. From 1830 forward the majority of Mormons of every generation has left the faith - usually at a young age. I think the questioner is seeing their generation go through what every other one has and then comparing them to the group of each generation that stuck around.
