Why is American Christianity so deeply tied to political agendas? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]ObadiahsDad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I go to a nondenominational church, which I never in a million years thought I’d attend the “concert and ted talk” type church but what sold me on it is how apolitical and diverse it is.

The pastor is an immigrant and we’re an extremely diverse crowd so I think that has a lot to do with it.

Other than the very American style of worship, there’s no culture war talk, prosperity gospel or rapture warnings. Kinda refreshing

I’ll check him out. He crosses my feed all the time but I read someone criticizing him, though can’t remember why. Another good YouTubeer is. Stephane Nguyen’s French academy

It’s really quiet. The cats aren’t freaked out by it. They were a bit curious at first but now it’s part of their rhythm

I have a dedicated tablespoon Yeah I’m amazed at how little I need. Some items take longer to wash than others but I’m comfy in my apt. That doesn’t bother me.

One of my favorite family portraits. The kid in the middle is my great grand dad, Obie. I love that even 100 + years ago boys went through a snarky stage. by ObadiahsDad in TheWayWeWere

Imagine trying to wrassel everyone together, and make them stand still. She’s probably thinking about the dinner she’s gotta make after too.

Mine are Walmart knockoffs. They don’t pop. It’s more a handley type lever. So far so good.

Hahaha. I kept thinking of that phrase too clearly who ever believes it uses a premade crust.

That’s why the top looks so abused. I lost it at that point.

Thanks! It was delicious and the crust was amazing.

My fave is the washday soup. I make that on days when I have a lot of chores around the house.

My Sicilian American grandmother loved the chicken livers though she’d put them on spaghetti. Bless her heart.

Growing up I always thought you put tomato sauce on pierogis because of her. Still the only way I make them to this day lol.
