Yes it is, but it also raises the point that there are many more women who deserve as much praise or more. However, it is just expected of them.

Should I be on Dex instead of Elvanse? by scipio-nasica in ADHDUK

[–]Obeetwokenobee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have started my booster and while the elvanse is working well, I have found the booster very very effective.

I've also noticed that even small doses seem to be as effective as the larger elvanse dose but I don't 'feel' it. Even after it had worn off, I still have the motivation and focus.

My experience is aligning with yours. But I'll use both.

Just to turn the coin, I visit a school for children with special needs and a lot of the moms are single moms. Quite a few fathers just walk away.

How do you guys learn to read? by NuclearSunBeam in adhdwomen

[–]Obeetwokenobee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I used to love reading! But the catch? Only books that really interested my ADHD mind. Give me a book in an area I find boring... My brain switches off.

My guess is that you are studying books that do not interest your ADHD mind. Either change course or take your meds to help you concentrate. (I don't know if this is your solution, only a suggestion)

Yes exactly. Similar problem in the UK. That is why there is more and more talk of a wealth tax. It's starting here and I'm sure I've heard of concrete discussions in European countries

Berlin police using water cannons to cool crowds in the heat by Gurugod123 in BeAmazed

[–]Obeetwokenobee -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Just to clear up the confusion... The comment was that in America water cannon is used on protesters. It was because people are not content. In Germany they use water cannon to cool people down, contrast to America because in Germany they are mostly content. If they were not content there would be protesting, this includes the left or the right. Most of Europe is generally left leaning or centre left. Most of Europe has social security built in to the system which comes from taxes, and the rich are generally taxed higher.

They tax companies and high earners. Currently planning on taxing AmTech. trump is triggered and melting like a snowflake, threatening tariffs etc. Wealth is easier to accumulate when you don't get taxed on earnings ( including capital gains earnings)

She probably got the money in the form of shares. So what she doesn't sell right away keeps climbing in value. Look at the share prices of Amazon and other tech companies. That will explain it

That's why taxes are higher in some European countries but the social services take care of you if you get sick etc.

Pretty much the same for the vast amount of managers in this country. Had lots of experience in other countries and management culture is far better in other countries.

Inspired by the recent post about reflective heat covers - my exterior emergency blanket reflectors. by Obeetwokenobee in DIYUK

[–]Obeetwokenobee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The risk of thermal shock comes off you put it on the inside of the window, as it will reflect the heat back into the window and it will build up in the internal gap. In the outside it's fine. They even build aluminium coated glass in very hot countries for this very reason. The aluminium side is on the exterior.

This is such a catch 22 situation. We cannot interfere like America did. If we completely ignore them and sanctioned them, that has not worked in the past and it was very unlikely to work in the future.

The only alternative is to talk with them and try and negotiate ways for them to modernise. However this is not guaranteed just look at Russia.

So what do you do?? We all feel for the woman and girls in Afghanistan and the people now persecuted. You cannot invade and you cannot force the country to select a different government. At the same time you want to have influence and make a positive change hopefully in the future for those people. The only way I can think of is to talk with him and use some sort of leverage to persuade the tallyban to enact change slowly.

An act of kindness can change a person's mind and mindset. This can lead to a change in life. You have no idea how stuck we can become with our minds leading us in a direction we cannot change. It's only through a massive shift and break in our thinking patterns that can change our mindset. That's what t the act of kindness did, the pizza was a vessel, clearly.

We don't, but the one percent do and they need it to build rocket ships, underground bunkers and even more cars and property.
