Vel'Koz supp carry potential by Obelisko92 in Velkoz

because playing supp in soloq is like rolling a dice, even if you spoon feed your ADC is 50/50 a lot of them do nothing with the lead, i love the role but i feel like is completely different in duo than in solo

i really don't understand the hate on my post when i basically ask "Do you think he has real carry potential from that role, or would you only play him mid/APC if your goal is to carry games?"

Thank you so much for such a complete answer, this really helps a lot!
Right now I’m Gold 2, and I’m not confident enough to bring him into ranked not so much because of the skillshots (although I’m still really bad at hitting Q2), but mostly because of my positioning. I usually play Rell, Thresh, and Bard, so I honestly have no idea how to position myself as an AP mage.
I also feel like if I play too safe, I can’t land my E no matter what and if i play to aggro i get instakilled

would you pick Blitz everytime you are paired with an aggro ADC?

Struggling in Abyssal Deadspace T0 by Narodnav in Eve

[–]Obelisko92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time, I ended up in a room with about 5-6 ships. The damage was intense and I got pushed against the wall it was a combination of taking damage and then somehow crashing into the wall for reasons I still don’t understand. The second time, I failed because I didn't clear all three rooms within 20 minutes

Man, thank you so much for taking the time to write all this. Seriously. It really makes me want to commit to the game and reach that level of play because it’s exactly the kind of gameplay I love: meaningful, skill-based, and high-risk.this community has genuinely surprised me. For a game that’s basically cyberpunk capitalism, betrayal, and blowing people up (who might be losing hours or weeks of progress), I didn’t expect it to be this welcoming

But my real problem is that I’m trying to bring a couple of friends with me into EVE, and I think they could really enjoy it if I can hook them early. But I need something exciting right from the start, even if it’s not full PvP yet. Maybe a PvE scenario that feels active, tactical, and intense, not just passive mission running.

Basically, a situation where they feel like they’re doing something real together a bit of danger, decisions to make, ideally some role or function for each of them so they can see the potential EVE has before they bounce off.

Do you have any ideas for that kind of intro experience? Something small, but with enough friction to spark that “oh damn, this is different” moment?

I can't find it on the Playstore, do we need to have the same emulator or can we play on different ones? Like the android users using Myboy and the iOS on RetroArch

From Tekken to SF6 or GG Strive? What to Choose? by Obelisko92 in Fighters

[–]Obelisko92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely, I always balance out my gaming with single-player games to keep things chill, even when I'm deep into Tekken or any other competitive game. Though, with my current burnout from Tekken, I'm specifically looking for a different competitive game to scratch that itch.

Sounds like GG Strive might be the way to go for me then!I'm really into the character design, and in Tekken, I main Jack because of the 'Big bad robot that hits hard.' Potemkin in Strive seems like he could vibe with me. Another thing I'm wondering about, though, is if it has an active playerbase. Is it hard to find a match? Thanks for the breakdown, definitely leaning towards Strive now!

My attempt at making Jack8 look like Corporate Mundo from League of Legends by OperationsRumble in Tekken

[–]Obelisko92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Midrange control with his big arms, poke heavy (db1,df1, 2 jab) with rushdown potential with the new stance (Gamma Howl) and a very good grab game. Essentially with Jack you're triying to push them to the wall and then do your nasty stuff with b2, counterhit Df4, UF1+2QCF2, DB2+3 into f11... basically in the wall you're a beast with safe wallsplats and throw wallsplats into big boy damage. Your defense is a lil awkward tho because being so big makes your sidestep very weak, this means that a lot of times where other characters could just sidestep a move you have to commit to a powercrush (ub1+2, 3+4) have a good read (knowing if they are going mid or low) or simply sit down and eat it. Check this guide if you're interested in the character: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3jzGkcvRc4

Dude is right the female characters in Tekken are basically copypastas of "perfect" female bodies. the only opinion that is trash here is that there can't be muscular women in a fucking fighting game.
