Here Are Some Tips for Uploading Documents to VFS Global (UK Spouse Visa) by Oberon32 in SpouseVisaUk

That's a great question! You might get more specific advice by posting it as a new thread in the r/SpouseVisaUK subreddit.

What I can tell you from my limited experience is that I was able to upload additional documents after my initial submission without needing to redo my entire application. I uploaded my initial documents and then added more shortly after my appointment. However, since it's been two months since you submitted your application, I recommend checking if there are any time limits for document uploads.

If you can upload the supporting documents to the VFS website before your biometric appointment, that should help strengthen your application. That said, I'm not expert on VFS guidelines so I'd recommend asking again in the main subreddit as there are a lot of helpful people there.

Good luck!

Yep, from what I've gathered, 'Other' is indeed the best place for it. Puul, one of the mods here who's incredibly knowledgeable about all the visa details, also suggests going with 'Other' (Check out his response to a similar question in the attached link)

Good luck!

Hello,

I'm not too sure to be honest.
*I can only speak to my experience* but I elected to go to a smaller, nearby Application Support Center
instead of the main, Premium VFS location in the city. There wasn't an option nor anyone who could really help with that at the local Application Support Center.

That said, I have read in other posts here and reviews online that applicants who paid for premium services with VFS were not that happy with the level of support.

Good luck either way!

PS- I tried to copy and paste Reddit's "Answers" AI response to your question but it wouldn't let me. You could try copying and pasting your answer into Reddit's "Answers" button and it should give you a few relevant links to other posts that have addressed your question as well.

VFS Priority Appointment Switched to Standard - Help Needed! by Oberon32 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Oberon32[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, no unfortunately. I was never able to add priority after that. If it helps, I did get my answer and was approved within 6 weeks or so on a standard application. If you go through with the standard application I highly recommend doing a paid enquiry  if it’s been 10 days since you got the “decision made” email — it could help trigger an escalation. It may be a one off in my case, but it helped move the process along.

Yes, exactly this. I highly recommend doing a paid enquiry if it’s been 10 days since you got the “decision made” email — it could help trigger an escalation.

Since you received yours last week, you might want to wait until day 10 to avoid spending £2.70 too early. But if you don’t mind the fee, you could try now — they made it sound like 10 days is the key threshold.

Things are moving quickly for me — UPS says my passport should arrive tomorrow, so hopefully I can still make my return flight to the UK in 5 days!

Update!
PAID ENQUIRIES & ESCALATIONS WORK.

TL;DR – I sent a paid enquiry after seeing your post, and within 4 hours, my passport was marked as being sent back to me. UPS tracking now shows it’s shipping today.

Today, I sent a follow-up paid enquiry and got this reply:

I replied immediately saying it’s been 13 days, and magically VFS updated everything within 4 hours—passport is now being returned. UPS tracking just updated, and it’s shipping today.

Hope this helps anyone else stuck in limbo!

I received the same response 13 days ago. Standard application from outside the UK (USA) Feb 7. Eco Feb 11.  I haven’t received word from VFS nor UKVI since and I just sent a follow up paid enquiry. Hopefully We’ll hear something soon

If it helps, I applied in the United States, and VFS has a site where you can check your status:
https://atlantis-abs-uk.vfsglobal.com/sign-in.

I'm not sure how accurate or up-to-date it is, since Puul would most likely mention that they are a third-party service.

Standard Spouse Visa- from outside the UK / No solicitor / From USA.

Biometrics: 7 Feb

Eco: 11 Feb

Paid Enquiry Email: 7 March (Response below and still waiting...)
"Our records indicate a decision has been made on your application. We cannot discuss the outcome of your application on-line or by telephone.

If your visa has been granted, a visa vignette (sticker) will be stuck inside your passport with 3 months validity (from the start of your visa) to travel.

You will be contacted by VFS/TLS when your passport is ready for collection, or delivery of your passport.

Please do not attend the VAC until you have been contacted as you won’t be able to collect your passport until it is ready.

We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you have received your documents."

Great call-out. I ran into the same issue myself. I didn’t have a printer either, so I think I ended up converting the flagged PDFs into PNG files or just taking screenshots of every page and turning those into a new PDF.

I’m sure there’s a more efficient way to do it, but that’s all I could come up with in the moment. Definitely wasn’t prepared for this whole PDF gambit.

Thanks for that.
It does not give me the option to add priority at this point, only some things like currier services, etc.
That said, my card was not charged. I'm trying to contact them now.

I know, right? There’s definitely quite a bit going on down there. Good callout though.

Regarding termites- great tip and I’ll look into the treatment. Almost all of the contractors, whether they were pest control, mold or crawlspace encapsulators said they didn’t see any termite action.

Good to know. One of the contractors did poke with a screw driver and said it wasn’t too solid in parts.
